"Small restaurant on Lima streethad the pollo al la brasa ( lightly fried chicken) which was very good. My friend had the chicken soup and breaded chicken which was also tasty. Service was friendly, owner was there to oversee everything. Prices very reasonable. Many locals eat there. Would go back if ever in Puno again"

"While the only real vegan option was the quinoa burger which was satisfactory, I asked about whether there was the possibility for a personalised dish based on the ingredients they had which they agreed to do, and was enjoyed. 3 stars because they have great potential with ingredients, they just need to expand their offerings."

"We had a little shot of papaya mousse, vegetable soup with barley, glass of some bizzare drink and for main- rice with pumpkin stew and soy meat with potatoes (had a name in Spanish but can't remember now). All tasty, some parts a bit cold (corn, potatoes), but otherwise good."

"At the end of the day at the Royal Inn Hotel and decided to eat at the hotel as it did not feel like an exploration due to the impact of the altitude in Puno. The prices were quite reasonable. I had the 3 course fixed menu for 30 soles (only under $10). The menu changes daily and there are 3 options for appetizer, main course and dessert. I had the pumpkin soup, Andean trout and banana crepe. Herbal tea was also included. The portions were large and everything was delicious. My friend ordered the Alpaca-Steak with mushroom sauce from the menu, which was delivered at about 35 soles. Our two ducks came with potatoes and vegetables. My friend said it was the best meal he had in his 8 days in Peru. I usually try to stay away from hotel restaurants because they are usually overpriced and don't have many food options, but I'm very grateful."
