"I?m giving 5 stars even though the spicy Mac n cheese threw me waaayy off! I will not be ordering it again. There really should be a disclaimer on the menu when food is spicy. Not everyone likes spicy. Some people?s stomachs and throats can?t handle spicy due to medical condition having what?s called GERD. It?s not a cooks decision on what?s not really spicy. I hope they consider this and put it on the menu description of the Mac n cheese. The catfish was piping hot, seasoned, and fried just right! The collards were good. The cornbread could?ve been bigger, but it was good, and the peach cobbler was good as well(also could?ve been larger portion). I would?ve preferred bigger portions of cornbread, collards and dessert, with just 3 pieces of fish instead of 7. Nonetheless, I recommend this place and I will be returning to try other dishes. Also, the service was great!"

"We have been waiting to visit. My kids love the older one in Walnut Creek. The San Leandro Mel’s surpasses our expectations. It was large and clean with a Happy atmosphere. The staff were friendly, service good, and food great with lots of choices. My kids loved the juke boxes"

"I love the owners of this restaurant. I have been going here since late 90s and they are so loving and compassionate. Their food is always fresh and hot. I look fwd to Mondays and Thursdays for the Salsbury Steak, Mashed potatoes green beans. Their breakfast is also good. All prices are reasonable and low."

"I have always enjoyed the Hofbraus in the Bay Area and their rustic cafeteria-style ambiance but this particular Hofbrau will become my favourite because of their Friday special, Miners Bones, braised Prime Rib on the Bone. We were a party of five and I was the first to arrive so I went to the bar and ordered an Old Fashioned. It's a very nice full bar with TV's. Once everyone arrived, we lined up for our delectable delights. Only 3 of us ordered the Miners Bones which were straight out of the Flintstones and very meaty. The only thing that was missing was a finger bowl as the bones were covered in a savory sticky sauce. Believe me, I will be planning my next visit to the Bay Area to include a Friday so I can partake of Harry's Hofbrau's Friday special, The Miners Bones."

"Service was excellent, had short ribs with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Ribs, potatoes were great the asparagus was good but the orange glaze sauce was a little on the sweet side. Wife had ribeye that was very good. Started with calm chowder very good, and finished with Gelato spamone excellent."

"I really love Papaito Rotisserie! It's my go-to place when I work in San Leandro. The service is excellent, everyone is really friendly. I've eaten there a few times and so far my favorite is the Casserole Mushrooms. The mushrooms always have the perfect texture and that yummy, creamy sauce is delightfully flavorful. Like a chunky cream of mushroom soup. A very close second is the Cheesy Street Corn Dip with Plantain Chips. That dish is addictive. I'm not supposed to eat dairy but I can't help myself, I just order it whenever I go, lol. I like the flavor of the sauce that's mixed with the corn underneath all that yummy cheese. I also really love the smoky corn salad. Great texture with the perfect amount of heat. So far I've only ordered sides, but next time I'm at the office I do plan on ordering the rotisserie chicken. It looks fantastic."
