"Melt in the mouth roast beef! Lovely Sunday roast dinner with red wine! Usually come here and do the set menu which never disappoints but decided to try the Sunday menu and so glad we did!"

"The carvery is excellent well cooked, varied and delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant has decided to make it a two course affair for a set price (still good value) so if you are trying to be good and eat healthily you have even more temptation!! You can take dessert home with you, but you will still eat it not good for those with slimming world and will mean we will come less often as it will also cost more. A great shame as it is very yummy!!"

"Great place to refuel after an extensive walk of some of the grounds at Ickworth. Plenty of choice but recommend the scones flavour of the day was toffee apple! We managed to get a table in the conservatory so were treated to wonderful sunny...views of the garden."

"A wonderful old welcoming pub serving the best Sunday dinner. I cannot (not that I want) from the friendly, helpful staff to the perfectly cooked and presented meal (the ale is also good,) it was best and I recommend it very much."

"Not many reviews and the last one many months ago. Time to correct that. The name Rose Crown often means that the pub is an old one. This one certainly is: the building is from around 1300. You feel the age, character and good atmosphere the moment you step inside. The fact that landlord Iain radiates friendliness makes you wish that this could be your local. What a shame that we live too far from Hundon. Landlady Helen appeared a bit later and together they're a formidable team. We were occasional visitors but spent a whole evening here to celebrate a wedding. Several locals came in and they all had this laid-back, friendly attitude. Last but not least, not many pubs know how to pull a proper point of Guinness. Iain and his team certainly do! They pour some, let it rest long enough and only then fill up the glass. This is a great pub for a pint, a meal or for a party, whatever the reason."

"Used to be a good gastropub several years ago, but now it seems to be under different management and no way near as good. The roast pork on Sunday was good, but the waiting staff didn't really seem to know what they were doing. Mid priced wines by the glass were below average quality. Service was very slow and unprofessional we gave up without ordering dessert. Clearly not the fault of individual waiting staff, but poor management."

"Wonderful old world pub. Very nice welcome from staff. Plenty of choice for lunch. Great value big portions. We had brie, bacon cranberry ciabatta halloumi salsa wrap with fresh salad crisps. Delicious!"

"We traveled by ipswich to celebrate my brother's 50th birthday. the service was excellent, I mentioned that it was his birthday and they were extra attentive. the food was excellent I had never had a brownie as it would definitely recommend."
