"Once we arrived we waited for service at the sign saying”please wait to be seated “ we waited nearly 10 minutes to be even acknowledged. There seemed to be nobody there. My wife then went to the bar to see if we could get service. The barmaid served someone then walked away. So we left. Couldn’t tell you what the foods like but the decor is so dark I wouldn’t be able to see it anyway."

"What a disappointing place to eat.The starters were the garlic mushrooms ,soup and the prawns which we all enjoyed but all 4 main courses were so basic for the price they charged was a definite rip off.The bottle of Sauvignon Blanc was the cheapest they could buy and they charged £17.50 a bottle yet another rip off .The waitress needed intense training in service it was so bad ,just one example whilst eating our main meal she came and asked did we want the bill.I could go on with a long list but I think I will sum it up by saying don’t go there."

"This was the first restaurant in this Trago Mills complex that we tried. It was a chilly day and so we ordered their pies with one portion of chips to share, a latte and a cappuccino. The restaurant is large and airy and pleasant. The...staff were very friendly and polite. However, I did not enjoy my pie very much. All the crust had gone rock hard (microwaved most likely). My husband's pie had not gone quite so hard and so he enjoyed it more than I did. The chips were not particularly good, tasted like oven chips do. The latte and cappuccino were very nice. The food is very inexpensive."

"Came today with a friend for a couple of drinks after work. Decided to eat, I had the lamb chops on the specials board followed by the Lemon Posset. Both were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back, what a gem."

"We have been to the Italian before and although the food was lovely the service was bad but thought it was a one off. We went there again but this time it was for a table of 7 as we had a family meal out. We got there and find out they are only going starters and pizzas. So it did restrict us for choice. The bruschetta was nice but the pizza could have done with more flavour. On trip advisor someone raves about the wood fired rosemary potatoes. But when we asked the waitress replied.. I don’t know as the chef would need to peel the potatoes. The service was a bit ditsy and lacked confidence. It seems like they stretch to a larger menu when they feel like it based on who they know as others had more selection. Where they did mess up was when the bill came. We were previously told by other people to always check the bill as they do add drinks on try and get away with it. On this occasion it happened. £17 more on our bill for several drinks which we didn’t have. When questioned they took it away and came back with a quick sorry and left us with bank transfer details as they do not accept card, it’s just transfer or cash. That’s the last time we will be going, too many things went wrong and when you are taking out family it’s rather embarrassing to go to such a incompetent place. Also, the restaurant has cobwebs everywhere, all in the plants and by our table. A family member went into the pizza area where they are cooked with bare feet after the beach. Just not nice. Will not be returning."

"Popped into this establishment for a lunchtime snack whilst visiting Trago Mills, Newton Abbot, and took advantage of the 2 meals for £10 offer. My wife and I both had plaice, chips and peas which were most enjoyable and came in extremely generous portions, so much so that my wife passed a fair amount of her meal to me rather than waste it. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good meal in a cafeteria style surroundings."

"I 'm a local here and I decided to support a small local business so I went for a coffee here. Right away the service I received was rude and dismissive. The woman there didn 't seem to want to serve us at all. I asked for two americanos and this woman rudely just asked if that 's two dark coffees. I said yes. When she finally came out with the two coffees I extended my phone to pay and this woman rudely said: It 's cash only. All the locals know this. During COVID times I don 't carry any cash on me and neither do most people. There were no signs anywhere that said this, and instead of explaining this politely to us, this woman was rude a belittled us. I hate to think how they would act towards people that are actual tourists here. I won 't be going here again."

"Superb, I would highly recommend The Bishop Lacy for its sunday roast, best roast I've eaten in a long time and the , apple and caramel pie for desert was delicious it's very friendly and warm welcoming pub and will definitely return."
