"My family is new to Woodstock, so we decided to order some take out from here. I was a walk in, it was a Wednesday and every table was full and a line up was beginning to build out the door. I thought to my self this place must be good because of how busy it was. I then noticed that the entire place was incredibly out dated. As I was waiting for my order (took 45 minutes) I looked around and noticed that the equipment was incredibly old and out dated with giant pieces of paint pealing off the ceiling. (I am so surprised a health inspector hasn't fined them or made them fix it.) Then I got to thinking if you can't spend $50 on some white paint and a scrapper, I worry about the condition of the kitchens fridges and freezers, cutting boards ECT... Basically what els did they cheap out on. And then I got my order. My fish was not golden, it was dark brown a.k.a as burnt. I watched them cook it and it didn't appear to be in too long then it dawned on me, if they keep adding new oil/lard/crisco to old oil/lard/crisco the fryer temperature becomes inconsistent causing over cooking or over browning. Then my suspision was confirmed when I took a bite of my overly brown french fry, there was no crisp at all, and no I didn't wait until I got home I ate one right off the fryer. Needless to say I was dissapointed, I waited to ask to have my order redone but I figured I would just get the same thing and after already waiting 45 minutes for my food I wasn't going to wait again, so I left. I think this resteraunt really needs to reinvest some of their money back into the place, it would greatly improve the quality of the dining experience and food. Start small with the ceiling first before paint falls in someone's meal."

"That was our first time in her pub. my wife came into her earlier, but I've never been. first we were hit by our amazing server holly, she was so personal and friendly. second, the eating was the heavens. the buffalo packaging and the club were delicious. We've separated ourselves so we've both tasted. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We will definitely come back."

"Had a weeding reception with family and friends. Out standing service plus. Awesome owners that totally went out their way to make all feel at home. The food was all fantastic everyone enjoyed the meal. Thanks for a great weeding reception it totally made a great day that much better. See you soon."

"The Chuck Wagon restaurant in Woodstock is definitely following covid-19 guidelines and is kept very clean. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and very helpful. The staff create a very hospitable environment and pleasant dining experience. The pricing is okay and my dinner was quite good. I like supporting locally owned businesses Wherever I Go so I also recommend this place for you all."

"Perhaps a bit different from our regular reviews in that this restaurant is located within the South Gate Centre which is a senior's centre in Woodstock, Ontario. Many towns and cities have these types of centres and this is open to the public with no membership requirement for dining. Food is wholesome - sometimes even trendy and designed for those on a budget. Most seniors will have the lunch and dessert and then have a light dinner at home. The facility has full catering for banquets, parties and weddings and is licenced for alcohol at special events. Monthly Menus are posted and a few examples are: Roast Beef dinner complete, Soup, Liver and Onions, Maple Glazed Salmon, Stuffed Sole, Ham and Scalloped Potatoes and much more. Take out is available. This type of dining can be found in many locales in Ontario."

"Has a great variety of food and the wait staff is amazing we love the fish and chips and the burgers you don't need to be a golfer to enjoy the bistro even just to sit and have a drink I like that you can see the kitchen as you food is been made"

"What can I say staff need more training in never go back empty handed it's bad when you have to keep asking for drinks and also clearing the tables it's simple class empty ask if want another drink plates empty clear them it's not like there walking back and forth with there hands full this just cost the owner money because would have spent more money but if it takes a long time for a drink it's not worth stinking around other places"
