"Just had our first meal at the Saffron in kirton. When entering the restaurant we were welcomed and shown to our seats by a friendly member of staff. The surroundings were clean and well decorated but we could of done with the heating put on as was very cold which several other customer's also commented on. We ordered our drinks and perused the menu. There was not as much choice as we have had before. Also some of the items did not have description of what the dishes consisted of for the customers like us who are not use to having an indian meal regularly. So it was a bit of a stab in the dark. All of our meal was hot and we did not have to wait to long. But the samosas were very spicy hot and we asked for mild and one of the dishes had bones in it and we asked for boneless. The 2 main dishes were very similar in taste and were both very tomato flavoured. The naan peswari's were yummy and very filling. All in all we had a nice evening but were let down by the cold quiet atmospheres. A little background music would have been nice. And the very tomatory mains. We would try again but will be asking what the dishes consist of next time. Staff were very good and price average."

"I’m on a mission to find a decent Sunday roast, unfortunately I didn’t find it today… I’ve heard great reviews from friends about The Castle Inn so decided to give it a go today. We were shown to a tiny table that had no hope of accommodating our plates plus the vegetable serving plate and gravy boat so my husband asked for a takeaway instead of dining in, despite being told they were fully booked and had no other table miraculously they found us somewhere else to sit (much appreciated btw). The meal arrived and the portions were very generous. The vegetables were all cooked well and my turkey was moist and well cooked, my beef was very chewy though. The mashed potato (of which there was loads) was so overpowering with pepper it was inedible. The roast potatoes were chargrilled but fluffy inside. My husbands gammon was dry. We were asked if the meal was ok and it was just about ok, certainly not good. Unfortunately this is another local establishment where I won’t be eating a Sunday roast again"

"6 of our family members went to the ball house for dinner today. We weren't disappointed, there was a range of food for us with different needs. The lady on the front was wonderful and very helpful. We will definitely be going back, Highly recommended this place to everyone."

"Best Chinese in the city, so much taste and not salty or greasy. they also get a lot. it is busy (what shows how beautiful it is. so in the regular faster to collect instead of having delivered. parking can be an nightmare if you want to park directly in front of a busy weekend, best looking at Nelson way or high-St/London road for a place and a minute down the road that is not annoying. do not leave the inner they from the quality of food!"

"3 Take ways 3 wrong supplies s.. 1 had to drive back for wrong main dish missed . Last one no sauce after double ckeck at desk. One dish was rubbish watery sauce complete waste. Won't go back wouldn't recommend.. Indian meals further down West Street from now on. How sad remember when it opened m"

"Everything was fantastic one of the best Christmas lunches that I can ever remember. Staff were brilliant and we all, 3 of us, felt really safe in light of the pandemic.
