"Very friendly staff, good service, a massive wine list, mostly german wines, small menu, which in my opinion ensures good quality, fresh produce, but, if for example, I order pasta with mushrooms ( Pfefferlinge) I think just 6 mushrooms on the pasta is a joke! If I order fish on tomato and the slice of tomato is bigger than the portion of fish?? The fish is tasteless and I am paying €33 There are too many other excellent restaurants in Cologne. We will not be back at Wein am Rhein"

"We couples) were there in a busy summer evening on Friday night, reserved a table inside beforehand, which was needed. Upon arrival, the man who looked like the head staff (Asian guy) seemed very stressful and clearly could not handle many requests properly at...the same time. He made us wait for our table and even forgot us totally. Finally we got our table when we approached a female staff. Drinks and appetizers arrived in a timely manner, considering the busy time. But.......we had to wait the full hours for our main dishes. The staff informed us before in the evening that the food could arrive a bit later as the kitchen was very busy, but come hours waiting time is certainly unacceptable! We arrived at and left around as the latest customers. The food was average Indonesian food. The curry tasted bland and far from spicy Indonesian curry with extensive spices, but the veggies were fresh. The staff was polite and nice during our dinner. Though upon leaving (we were the latest customers there), nobody even looked at us. I don't know if they did this because they felt ashamed of their extraordinarily slow kitchen, but it didn't feel good. You can only pay with cash here. But they informed us about this correctly at the reservation. I find that the prices of the food are too high for such an average quality. Will we go back there? Certainly not, as long as they haven't improved their management. The food is also too average for the prices. Not worth it, certainly if you have to spend the entire evening for your dinner! There are better Indonesian restaurant(s) in Cologne."

"I was looking forward for a wonderful dinner with high quality seafood. I realised pretty fast that this restaurant is not a gourmet restaurant. The workers dont know much about the qualities of the products. The Languste tasted like water, the crab cake hardly had crab in it and the king crab which was actually the reason why i went there because not many restaurants offer it, was a disappointment and salty and not fresh. The steak was though quite good. One should only go here for the meat and they should also only offer meat since to eat seafood was really waste of money. Pity! But, the service of the waiters were very nice and polite. No complaints about that."
