"Food is pretty good, the crumbled vegan breakfast dish they have is very good, as are the magic mushrooms. Coffee is a bit of a meh for me, I think it is a bit on the weak side. Service is generally friendly, if not slightly impersonal. The decor of the place is a bit underwhelming, it needs a bit more character both in and outside. Definite potential for improvement."

"Almost as lovely, in fact, as the bill, which without tempting the owners into raising prices, was very affordable indeed. If they were to change anything, the Prick would like to see Higashi get a beer and wine license: the green tea was lovely, but as summer approaches a cool glass of otokoyama would be lovelier. One hopes the authorities responsible don’t knock them back for fear of over-served patrons masu-ing one another."

"Lovely little place, we enjoyed sitting out front watching the world go by. Loved the food; poke bowl with soft shell crab, chicken karaage, shoestring fries and the salmon roll off the specials board. The Scottish manager/waitress was lovely and friendly and very attentive. This place has made it into our top 10 in our area. Will go again before we leave."
