"This takeaway has extensive menus there is a general one but there is also a 'Chinese ' one ask to look at that as if not Chinese you are generally shown the other menu, they genuinely seem happy when you want to try out the more unusual dishes which are the real Chinese food dishes enjoyed by the many Chinese students who sit in and enjoy home cooked food when so far away from home. Its conveniently situated next to a Chinese supermarket which is very recommended you have a look around if you enjoy Chinese cooking, or if just curious lots of weird and wonderful items on sale, also if you are after beansprouts, pak choi etc alot cheaper than normal supermarkets. It is also open at lunchtime, with general menu on offer but also daily lunchbox special. The hot and sour soup is the best I have ever had from a takeaway, always go and get it if have a cold or feel run down :"

"It was so nice to revisit Raffles after a time away due to Covid. Nothing changed still really clean, great service and good quality food. A couple of reviews mention cost but in my opinion the quality of the produce used speaks volumes. It is excellent. Freshly prepared and beautifully cooked. So nice to be back."

"We have had food from here for over 20 years , haven’t been for a few months as last couple of orders had things missing and had to drive back and staff attitudes wasn’t great . Fancied fish and chips but was very disappointed , only live 10 mins away , chips where cold had to warm up but then they dried up .. fish batter was to thick and fish tasteless . Will not go there again such a shame Queen Vic chippy is so much better and better priced"

"This place has been my go to Kebab place for a while. On Saturday last they surpassed previous ones. Lots of it, well cooked, delivered hot and promptly with an epic garlic mayonnaise. Keep it up."

"Been a regular customer for the last 5 years, invited many of my colleagues and even bosses to the restaurant many many times, obviously because we like the food and the stay.. Today I was so surprised with the way the staff are treating us! We were 3 families; one family first time ever being in Manjaros, one member of this family has a medical condition doesn’t allow him to drink regular water and so he brought a small bottle of his “own water” which is the only one he can tolerate.. One of Manjaros staff mentioned that he is not supposed to do so, my friend tried to explain showing them the bottle that it is for his medical condition, and he mentioned politely that if this is going to make a problem he will be happy to leave. The staff replied that she needs to ask the manager. The lady manager came back ATTACKING us shouting “what’s the issue??” My friend’s wife started to explain again, the lady manager shouted “we TAUGHT you many times not to bring things with you!!!!” Again this is the first time for my friend to come!!! and no one else carries any drink from outside!! And I don’t understand the logic behind shouting or mentioning about “teaching” us!!!!! We all (the 3 families) left the place politely. Now, I must say that I regret being in your restaurant for the past 5 years, I regret bringing all my colleagues, friends …etc to your place .. thank you for everything but I promise besides that I will never come back again that I will work hard spreading the needed reputation that Manjaros Preston deserve for their unprofessional behaviour."

"Lovely reception great hospitality, nice beer. Personally prefer a spicy taste, dishes we chose, four of us went were varied but some more sweet than we would normally go for! Wouldn’t hesitate in going back but would avoid the sweeter options. Enjoyable experience, very attentive."
