"Visiting Godalming for the first time, The Star quickly became my favourite pub. Very old building, around 200 years old with few changes. Small bar at front but extends back to a further bar and garden. Very welcoming staff and very busy. i am a Camra member and by chance, visited during an ale festival. Around 40 ales on offer, usually around 15. Lots of choice and some of my favourites. Will definately return."

"We came here with friends and had such a brilliant time. We all had starters and mains but none of us were able to attempt a dessert as well. Three of us had Prawn Starters, two had basically a prawn cocktail dish and I went with the Prawns in the spicy tomato sauce with bread and they were all simply mouth-watering. I had opted for the Lasagne with fries as a side order. The Lasagne was perfectly cooked and piping hot right through which is how it should be. All the mains again were just divine as was the service. This place is certainly one of the very best restaurants in Farnham. When we arrived at 19:30 we found the place was really full and we were taken right to the upper floor area. The building is unique and so traditional. There is no parking assigned to this place so the Hart car park around the corner is your best bet. Really could not find a fault with this place and would eat here again in a heartbeat."

"We are relatively new to Cranleigh but found this little wonder. We've been there 4 times now and it's always consistently great. The food is probably the best Chinese takeaway I've had and we travel extensively abroad. So an amazing find for Cranleigh!"
