"Visited this unassuming restaurant by the train station whilst staying overnight nearby. It doesn’t look much from the outside. It doesn’t look much when you look through the window. The food however is amazing. We enjoyed a set menu, comprising crispy aromatic duck, sweet-and-sour chicken, Hong Kong, style, beef, with spring, onions and ginger, and special fried rice. We supplemented with crispy prawn dumplings and chicken satay skewers. Even though this restaurant is over one hour away from where we live, we feel certain it will become our go to Chinese restaurant. Excellent value for money and bring your own drinks, with a small corkage fee. We will definitely be back and soon."

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT! it’s god awful! picked our food up for collection, and all the containers were of such poor quality they had crushed, which resulted in all our curry’s being spilled into the bag. All the food was cold, after getting home with it within a 3 minute drive. Called to say about the issues they accused us of ‘dropping’ the food as an answer for it being spilled in the bag. They had no answer as to why it was cold and dry, there customer service was terrible and they were so rude as well!."

"As the restaurant was empty when I arrived (at the opening time as I was staying at the Premier Inn), it did mean that the staff were particularly attentive to my needs but I'm sure that is always the case ! One of the best meals I've had in any of the Thyme restaurants I have visited. The sirloin teak was particularly tender and cooked i the way I had ordered and, as usual, well presented. No faults. I took breakfast the following morning, when the restaurant was quite busy with a umber of families. Although the cooked food was self service, kept warm under lamps, he chef was ensuring that items were topped up regularly to ensure that the food was as freshly cooked as possible. This is not always the case in similar restaurants at or next to Premier Inn hotels.."

"Went here for the third time with a group on deal, and we were really pleased we did, the food was great, for starters we had scallops and I went for prawn pate, both were presented really well as was the taste, we had, with the deal a bottle of house white, when the waitress gave it to my partner to try, she said it was not that nice, no problem she said I'll get you a bottle of Pinot, which promptly arrived and tasted much better, and we were not charged extra either, which was great. The steaks arrived along with a salad to share and again the presentation and taste were great, chunky chips, there could have been a few more but they were tasty. We were too full for desserts, a great meal with great service, thank you."
