"Decided to go for a meal as we were celebrating my birthday, so the three of us, a good mate and the wife decided we should try the Dragon King in Letchworth. It is a buffet style Chinese restaurant, and the place was......empty. The owners seemed friendly enough even enthusiastic. Having a look at the buffets contents we thought their will be more food coming out. Wrong! That was it. All but 3 of the ban maries were empty or had just scraps of food left in them, bearing in mind their were at least 30 ban maries. Rather than cause a scene we picked at the scraps and went back to our table. The food was bland and cold, and we were pretty hungry but could not bring ourselves to tuck in. I went over to the bar area to pay and the bill came to £65! I dont often complain but hey, this was warranted. I said the food was cold and nearly non existant and straight away the owners deducted £20, no questions asked. As we were about to leave the same owner presented us with 2 bottles of house beer, So in effect our bill came to £35. Have to assume each bottle of beer costs £5. The food, if that's what it was went untouched. Do i have anything positive to say about it? Hell no. A disgrace in every respect. A takeaway would of set us back £25, would of been steaming hot and much more enjoyable. To sum up, this place is just plain awful. Will we give it another chance? Not a chance in hell."

"Food was good. Service is usually good but they serve so many take aways it's a detriment to those eating in as orders take a long time even though it doesn't sit that many in-house. This can get frustrating as orders can take a long time to come to your table while loads are leaving for take away. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"In any case a place to visit. at the beginning of the service he was quick. service was fast and very efficient. the service was also attentive and friendly a real plus my opinion after. we had started and the main trade (on Sunday to Thursday I think). halloumi and the Sausage-Starter were delicious and very well presented. the kebab and also hacks net. all dishes were well flavored and the descriptions were exactly described. an excellent experience that was very reasonable in the price. service is not included and tips must not be cash money card so note that in the understood."

"Visited for lunch with family and friends. Wide choice of starters and mains. The service is old fashioned and excellent with, usually silver service currently curtailed due to social distancing. The starters were excellent. I had the calamari and, to be honest , I could have walked out content after that. The lamb cutlets were divine and the veg superb. My guests, two Canadians, were awed with both the food and service. OK it costs a bit more than Weatherspoons but the food is on a totally different level."

"If you need a basic place to stay which is clean and value for money then this should be on your list. A good, honest motel which I'd stay at again. Wifi needs improvement though!"
