"Even though they were busy and short staffed, nothing was too much trouble, everyone was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Kid-friendliness: We had 3 children in our family group of 8. They were made very welcome, loved the food and want to go back! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"I’d just like to say thanks to the staff at the Holiday Inn for looking after me on a recent flying visit to the UK. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was spot on. The hotel was ideally placed for the various trips I made into London, to Reading, Oxford and up to Warwickshire. I’ve said this before in my reviews but the Holiday Inn says what it does on the box. Recommended."

"Booked a table for 4 and sat in one of the booths. After a warm welcome and a complimentary glass of prosecco for the 'mothers '. We ordered different dishes from the menu and all the food was delicious and piping hot. My chicken madras was lovely and fiery. We could not fault the service from all the staff. I liked the décor and relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant. We were in High Wycombe for a family function and were glad we stayed over to eat at this restaurant. What a shame we live 4 hours drive away. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in the area."

"The whole experience was terrible, I would not recommend anyone to go to this pub; I have a table for 8 for Mother's Day on 1. Booked March – the booking system asked for credit card details to secure the booking. At the time of booking, 2.5...weeks before the day, there was no special menu advertised for Mother's Day I received an email a week before the book advice that they had a set menu for Mother's Day that we needed before ordering, we had the table for 2 hours and I had to pay a £10 per head deposit (even if they already had credit card details) The set menu was a very limited version of their advertised Sunday lunch menu and significantly more expensive (although a “glass of Fizz” for mums included). We were not happy about the last few changes, but as a table of 8 of the week before mother's day with a week hint, we had little option but to go with the booking. I immediately responded to the email and received no answer, the phone number would not connect. I finally came to the pub on Tuesday afternoon – apparently they had problems with their email account and telephone line. There was no mention on their Facebook page (it would have been a simple and obvious way to communicate with people) We were booked at 1 o'clock; the pub was quiet when we arrived. We got the preordered “Glasse of Fizz” – they were all warm. The starters came fast. The warm “Cabatta” and oil was barely boiled mass catering bread Mains – we waited a long time between starters and net coming. They brought 7 of the 8 previous main thing – we had to hunt for the missing food several times (which was one of the children – never ideal). When it finally arrived, the rest of the meals went cold. We had to ask for missing cutlery and sauces. The pig bell was so badly cooked that it was not edible. The fried chicken and beef burgers were dried and boiled over. The Bratbeef was hard. The Yorkshire puddings were clearly mass production and frozen variety. The herbal parts were really small, 2 small pieces of carrot, 2 small pieces of papal, a tablespoon of salt cabbage and half a potato. Plus to share a bowl of baked cauliflower cheese. We complained about the quality of food, said the manager "I know"! We waited for half an hour to arrive puddings at which point we met their assigned 2 hour limit! The adult puddings were tasteless and lacked the ice. The children chocolate Fudge cake was very dry. We waited another 20 minutes for them to take the bill – they gave us 20% off the bill, although we had to send the bill back as they paid a much smaller deposit than we did. We were from the to (so very difficult not to hear) in the time we waited for our bill, 2 other groups complained, demanded their deposits back and left without food. In all honesty, it would have been a better option if you had the opportunity to go elsewhere, even if it were a farewell. We even saw one of the employees laughing at people when they complained to him. The food we received was nothing like anything that was shown in the last reviews. I don't know what happened yesterday, but it was one of the worst meals I've ever had, and we won't return to the pub under the current management, or recommend that someone else eat there. A small positive that she hired in a magician as some entertainment that was very good, although we definitely paid for entertainment by the overblowed prices."

"Marshall the manager on weekend Breakfast shift was very welcoming, polite, helpful. He couldn’t do enough for my friend and I. He checked if we needed anything else during our meal. Service was excellent. Also I must thank Sabu for sorting out the error with our pre booked Afternoon tea. The actual booking hadn’t been communicated to the staff but she made it happen! The cakes were gorgeous. This is not the first time the restaurant have been unaware of a booking. Communication between depts seems to be lacking in this particular area. Other than that, overall it’s lovely hotel with good and helpful staff."
