"Large American-style restaurant on the Brighton coast. Really good food, burgers, hot dogs, chicken, ribs all generously cut, some dishes are huge, I had the full plate of ribs and was beaten by him, the meat was juicy and fell from the bone. The staff was very fast and helpful. Will definitely visit again, very soon."

"Our latest and last visit (because we won’t be going again) on to La Choza was terrible, so disappointing. The food was dreadful. I never write bad reviews because I don’t want to hurt small businesses, but in this instance, I just feel like...I need to in order to save others from the same experience. Both staff members were lovely, thank goodness, but the food!! Firstly we ordered the calamari to share we had to return it, because it was drenched in grease, inedible! The paper that it sits on in the basket was dripping in grease the little bit of salad that it comes with wasn’t fresh. Next our main courses, I had to return my nachos with prawns, it was tasteless, bad quality ingredients, the prawns were cooked from frozen had no flavour, the whole bowl was a mess of mashed up tasteless food. I ordered a side of a salsa/sauce that was meant to be it had no flavour what so ever, I was eating it in large spoonfuls to try and add something to the small amount of my main that I did eat it didn’t taste of anything. You shouldn’t be able to eat a sauce that’s meant to be hot hot hot in spoonfuls. The ingredients tasted tired. My fiancé ordered a barito, which was mushy, flavourless just packed full of rice not much of any other ingredient. My main course went back, the service staff were really nice about it, and took our starter mains off the bill, but I felt really bad complaining, plus I was left still really hungry very disappointed at a place that used to be great! We haven’t been for a couple of years due to the pandemic, but it’s like a different experience, the food used to be so fresh,generous vibrant. We only had to pay for our drinks, fair enough, but firstly I’d rather have just had a good meal, which is the reason why we went there secondly, actually I just felt disappointed about the whole experience felt like the drinks should have been on the house too, because the only reason we had drinks there was so that they could accompany our meal, as we didn’t actually have a meal, we ended up having no lunch, I think the drinks should have been on the house by way of apology. As we were specifically going out to lunch together you think that you’ve chosen a great place, the whole think was a big, hungry disappointment. I’m only sorry we didn’t take any photographs but I think we were in shock at just how bad the food was, this place used to be one of our favourites, out of only about Brighton restaurants, it’s so sad. It felt like corners were being cut, low quality food, cheaper ingredients I don’t think that’s a good way to treat customers, many of whom lI’m sure are locals regulars are therefore loyal."
