"I stumbled upon Estrella while looking for grilled octopus at another seafood restaurant. Google maps directed me to what looked like a dark lot with a locked gate. Never a good sign. Kept walking to what KI thought miight be Rustica. No luck, but I...found a small restaurant that directed me to their next door neighbor, Estrella de Mar Mariscos. I was the only one there but that didn't stop them. The owner guided me to the exact pulpo (octopus) entree grilled and fresh cocnut water, right from the coconut. All ourdoor seating under a protective roof. Husband, wife and six year old daughter were gracious hosts. As I got up to leave I noticed the cook was jamming on a metal pot to a latin song on the sound system. I went to the service window and accompanied him with a bass (tumba) conga beat on the wooden serving shelf. Great fun, great food, great family."

"The steak was great, the guacamole fresh. Quesadilla was awesome. There was a mentally ill man stood in front of restaurant for 15 mins on a rant, then then he sang. It was nice."

"We arrived on the beach the waiter told us that we had to pay 200 per couple to get a couple of lounges and an umbrella, he told us that the 200 would come off the bill so we decided to sit there. We accidentally...broke a glass on the beach, why glass on the beach I don’t know, we told not to worry. The bill came 1000 pesos we were charged for the broken glass 80 pesos, I guess that was ok but they did not remove the 200 pesos we gave up front. When asked about it the waiter said no no it does not come off the bill, we have been to a few beach restaurants on the beach in Sayulita never been ripped off like this."

"Good food, good location. However the owner/management allows street vendors to solicit you while trying to enjoy the atmosphere while you eat. So I head you this warning if you can enjoy make sure you watch your belongings and table I had my wallet stolen while I was there. I will make sure not to ever visit here again."

"Highly recommend this quaint little bar. Extremely nice staff and excellent food. Fish tacos were delicious. Will definitely be going back next time I visit Sayulita. Owner was there one of the times that I went and was very friendly and welcoming."

"We would stop here before heading home for the evening (and the big hill climb). It was fun having a cold drink and late night snack. Being just outside of downtown it was much quieter sitting outside, a great way to end a day of sight seeing. Friendly staff."

"I was hesitant to eat here because of the location...so close to the plaza, how could it be good? I ended up ordering the shrimp quesadilla and it was HUGE and absolutely delicious. In fact, I ordered the same dish at two other places and they weren't half as good as Skandalo. The chips and salsa are tasty too!"
