"It has delivered it's promises. Food tastes really good but don't expect much from services. When you plan to come here to eat, make sure you have a lot of time. We had to wait a bit in between dishes."

"I've been here for three years. they have a great breakfast in the offer. Previously he went to slickity jim’s on main and discovered this place right at me. they offer a small salad with their breakfast, good roasted yams and kartoffels and a very good coffee to boot! they only pull back to come when they arrive at sat or sun tomorrow after 10:00. the service here is in order. I have read a complaint in the west ender timeung in vancouver, but they really try to help them. it is not vegetarian, however, so my kosher abiding husband cannot eat here..boo hoo!"

"Came here for food and whiskey. We were not disappointed. We got sharables and a few rounds of whiskey. The food was all excellently prepared. Not a lot of options for the gluten allergic member of our group but some so he didn’t go hungry. An unbelievable selection of whiskeys and the bartender has a lot of knowledge to help select one you will like."

"I went to this restaurant last night with my sister in law and my daughter. Our server had no clue what the local summer beer was featured, didn't tell us about any specials and never once came back to see how our meal was, good thing I guess because my daughter ordered whole wheat crust and got white. The server outright lied when she said she didn't hear us order it as my daughter said WW and I repeated it for her which she pretended to write down. She then backtracked after we had to hunt her down and said they don't have WW on the menu anymore and she'll talk to someone about that. Not true. My pizza was not the same as the one I order at BP in other cities. Had to go hunt her down just to pay an get out of there! Not cool."

"We stopped into the Beagle after work one day for drinks and an early dinner....I had a Ceasar, my husband ordered a beer. Just a nice relaxing spot to chat with each other before the night crowd starts to trickle in. We were offered the dinner menu and were a little disappointed to see it had changed. We usually order the sliders which were really good. However, they are no longer available.We tried the calamari and order a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The calamari was good, though portion very small for the price. Then came the pizza. Disappointing. Described as loaded with mushrooms and pepperoni was a bit of a stretch. The center of the pizza soggy and over loaded with sauce. Oh well.. our server was nice...and we enjoyed our drinks.We did see the table beside us order nachos, and the portion was huge, so that seems like something that would be great to share and good value. All in all, it is one of our locals, and does have a good patio being as spring is coming. I'm sure we'll go back, just hope they do something to improve their kitchen offerings."
