"Went with a family group. First of all the quality of the meat was great. However, very disappointing overall. Service was slow and inattentive. No water on the table, waited 30 mins to order, once we received the food we had to go the kitchen to source salt and pepper ourselves . Staff were young and generally no idea of the level of customer service required at an establishment of this quality. I had steak tartare. It was just chopped raw beef on a plate with egg yolk on top.. No seasoning whatsoever. Shallots? No capers? No. Cornichons? What’s that..? Worcestershire sauce? Hmm no. Parsley? Nope. Could have been great because the beef was so good but just bland as could be. Other’s meat looked cooked very well but service was not even close. All others in my group were of the same opinion afterwards Food was great but crap service and wouldn’t return. Best of luck if you want to roll the dice."

"Argo on the Square is phenomenal. I’d heard lots of good thing about here, but have been put off by apparently how busy it is.<br/ <br/ However, I was starving for lunch and thought I’d give it a try.<br/ <br/ My first impression was the clean, minimalist but stylish atmosphere and the second was how comprehensive the menu was (check it out). Instead of the same old tired smashed avocado as a basic vegetarian dish, I got the Purple Toast- a delicious combination of poached eggs on sourdough with beetroot paste, feta, dukkah and caramelised onion. The serve was very generous for a reasonable $18.9- I have definitely paid $25 before for something half as good and half as imaginative. Service was good (20 minutes in a busy CBD setting at lunch rush and polite. Will definitely be coming back to explore the rest of the menu and the cabinet of delicious treats.<br/ <br/ In summary: Argo on the Square has a wide, delicious range of vegetarian and vegan options with good service in a minimalist CBD setting."

"When I approached, I heard what seemed like a manager, told a coworker before customers about something trivial. I had a macaroon, it was dry and had not tasted much. also they are quite expensive. the male barista was chatting and beautiful and he made a pretty place on coffee that was really the only redeeming function. I'm not really disturbing him."
