"My starter was really overcooked and the wife sent the mains back as they were incinerated only to be told we could now longer have the fish pie as they had no more potato's, it was at this point .... I then ordered the duck...and its a good job it was served with gravy or whatever the posh word is because that was overcooked and so dry. We gave deserts a swerve and asked for the bill. They knocked off two drinks but to be fair we should have refused to pay for the mains. We then asked if they had had a new chef as the reviews were so good on was told no everything was fine in the kitchen only to be told in a local pub he left two weeks ago and someone else was having a go. Its not good, i would not recommend and would not return. At £26 for a main they need to sort things out fast."

"I thought the best cod I had ever eaten was at a small stall near the harbour in Rejkavik…..until I had lunch at the Billycan yesterday ! The cod goujons were silky smooth, almost pearlescent and the batter was light. The chips and salad were perfect. My husband described his beef medallions as phenomenal, generous and cooked exactly as he wanted. The service is fantastic, quietly efficient and attentive. My new favourite restaurant in the world !Thank you for a superb lunch. (As a bonus, the dogs came too"
