"There is piping hot ramen that hits the spot at Tanpopo in Buchanan Mall in Japantown. They have assorted shoyu (soy sauce) and miso ramen as well as some non-noodle dishes like broiled mackerel and gyoza. You can eat at the counter and watch Japanese TV. The only unusual thing about this place is that they don’t serve hot tea unless you order it from a can or bottle which is displayed on the counter. They will heat it up for you and serve it in a teacup. It’s odd, but I can overlook it since the ramen is so satisfying. Service is hit or miss, they are friendly but some servers are better than others. It seems at most places in Japantown, you go mostly for the food than the service."

"It was positively delicious. I just discovered ramen right before this trip (yeah I live in under a rock) so while I only have one other place to compare to, it was really tasty! The dinner was reasonably priced but I was a little shocked by the $32 pitcher of beer. It was a great experience though. Staff was friendly and the quality and freshness of the food was high"

"I have been living nearby and wanted some good thai food. I placed my order with them and they told me the total. I got there around 15 minutes later and when I tried to get my food, they said they don't accept $100 bills. After saying I only had cash, they proceeded to tell me they only has $20 in their register. Usually I never use big bills around smaller establishments because I understand, but since this is a restaurant and my change was only around $38 I found that very strange. Taking my business elsewhere because they even proceeded to ask me to manually enter our credit cards number. Disappointed but not surprised another restaurant declining service to paying customers."

"I tried the creamy ramen and it was so good with the spinach noodles, fried kale, and squash. Spectacular flavor. Even though there are only a couple vegan options it's worth it to try Hinodeya Ramen out. Also as the other person said, yes, the toilet is fancy. It had a heated seat and my family couldn't stop talking about it"

"Enjoyed a hearty bowl of ramen here, filled with all sorts of different meats. Ramen was delicious overall, my favorite meat being the bone on pork rib. I could tell ingredients probably weren’t the highest quality, but overall a good experience."

"Noodles were too hard to bite I already requested for soften noodles. The egg york was messed up. They were mad and stared me with silence when the tips they believed is not a lot after I said thanks to them they were still very rude. The actual price are much higher then the menu picture shows online. They cannot do any little customized to any food, vey hard to communicate."
