"Steaks all came out wrong, they did correct it but by the time it was brought out we weren’t hungry. Also informed during booking it was a birthday using open table app and I called the location and left a message , but it wasn’t acknowledged. Our server however was fantastic."

"We stayed in Toronto on a Friday night in late June. I called our hotel concierge a few weeks earlier and he booked Barberian's Steak House for my wife and I. We were both disappointed. The place is dated. Usually that does not bother me but it did here. The menu item my wife wanted was not available. Big disappointment! My steak was ok but both our baked potatoes were cold. We shared a Caesar salad and that was the highlight of our meal."

"I have lived in the north western tip of Scarborough for decades had never heard of this restaurant. When I searched Google for Great Greek food in Scarborough, this place came up #1. By the name not what I was expecting. Turns out...my wife had been here once when she found herself in the area months earlier with a friend referred there by someone who works in the area as a place with good food. Well, IMHO, the food is excellent by any standard and the than reasonable prices just add to my overall 5 star rating for quality price. At the time of this review, we had chicken souvlaki dinners $12.95 each! And worth several dollars more! All aspects of the meal were excellent! Potatoes were perfect, rice was excellent as was the Greek salad which is something I am particularly fond of the chicken was the BEST I have ever had at any Greek restaurant! Cooked absolutely perfect! This is now my new favorite Greek food restaurant. But I have to admit to being a burger lover so I'll be taking my son down for one soon as their burgers are apparently equally exceptional and award winning! The restaurant is typical for old Scarborough, nothing fancy by any means. Limited table seating more people I suspect order food to take home or eat in car. A little cool in the restaurant when we were there around March 15th. The wait for the food seemed a bit long maybe because we were just so hungry we didn't know what to expect, but I can honestly say that when they called our number to pick up our dinners from the counter my wife I both agreed that it was worth the wait! I don't consider myself generally critical of things, just try to call them as I see them with a sense of balance perspective. But, when I am very pleasantly surprised or simply impressed by something, I tell people. We went here for good food Great food is what we got! If you want Great food try this place. If you want Great food at a good price try this place! I would be very surprised if you wouldn't share my opinion upon leaving."

"My son and I had dinner here last evening prior to a concert at the ACC. There were several items on the menu that were unavailable due in part at least to the closure of the 401 (major collision and fire) for several hours impacting deliveries. However, there was lots on the menu to choose from. The beer (a darker IPA) and the wine (Beringer Pinot Grigio) were good, as were the two salads. My son had the Caesar salad and I had the Avocado and Bacon salad and they were both very good. For mains, my son had the ribs and I had the Chicken and Goat Cheese penne. Both were ok - they weren't bad, but there didn't create any excitement for either of us - somewhat bland. The service was ok. Overall, we look for other places in downtown TO to eat before the next event we attend."

"As a starter, I got oysters and escargots. Oyster were just perfect! Escargots were missing salt. By chance the mixologist brings me a fantastic Old Fashion (Maker's Mark 46)! This girl knows what she is doing! And to verify it, I ordered a Cosmopolitan (u'luvka Polish Vodka): Again 100% score! But honestly I was sure of it. The crazy balance of my Old Fashion could not be done by chance.I decided to continue with a Steak Diane. Cooked at the table. Such a great experience ! Cooked at the perfection. Best meat I ever had in Canada. Juicy, perfectly seasoned and so tender. This piece of meat deserve a medal! And obviously it was beef from Alberta! The best in Canada!As a desert I tried the banana foster. Again, cooked at the table. An enchantment!And I have to enlighten the service: Best service ever in Toronto City. People taking you in charge nicely, knowing what they are doing, making the full experience an enchantment. Do not miss the place."
