"This place is one we've been driving for 5 years and WE REGRET WAITING SO LONG because our entire experience here was wonderful! First of all from our waitress (forgive me if I miss it) Domanique was a very sweet helpful waitress, she was attentive and expected our needs. We ordered 2 appetizers (fried pepper, and bounty balls) and they were delivered to us before our meal, as it should be, hot and tasty. Our main course was the 1 fish 6 shrimps and 6 oysters w/ 1 stuffed crab (I substituted onion rings instead of frits) with Koleslaw. The tea was not only fresh, but had a nice rugged taste like southern tea should be, not a weak restaurant tea here, even more importantly, that it ensured whether we wanted a lemon with our tea, which is a very appreciated question! All our foods were fresh and hot and timely. I cannot say enough how impressed we were with every aspect of our visit and we will definitely come back for more!!! Kudos to the staff here you have let us wish more!!!"

"We stopped in here for my daddy's 88th birthday lunch. I searched maps for restaurants in the area and this one looked great and it was. I've been through Dayton hundreds of times and didn't know this was tucked in next to the lake. The atmosphere wasgreat. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the fried green beans!! We all got something different and it all was good.They had from sandwiches to steaks. Nice variety. It was a little chilly so we sat inside but they have outdoor seating as well.Very nice find. We will be back."

"I was a guest at my boyfriend’s company dinner, and we had reservations for 5:30pm on 12/14/07. They would not seat us until our entire party had arrived, despite the heavy traffic. Once we were seated the server (Renee who was great) took our drink order. They then took our order which took a long time to get. From the time we had finally got to eat our food to the time we were asked to leave was 18min. Did I mention that no one was out of control and we were just given the desert menu? The reason we were asked to leave was because the manager had an 8pm reservation and it was now 8:15. The manager continued to walk by our table and asked us twice to hurry up and leave. I have never in my life been kicked out of any place. I feel that this experience was unacceptable and will cause me to tell everyone I know about this experience and never return to this place. Besides the food may be good but not worth going to again, besides the prices are high and you can expect to spend at least $50 per a person."
