"We visit Miller and Carter often but fancied a small change and opted for Browns which we believe to be within the same chain. We arrived promptly at 6:30 on a Friday evening, the restaurant was not busy yet staff shied away from us, leaving us waiting to be taken to our table. Despite the quiet restaurant we were sat at quite possibly the smallest table in the building. We ordered water and a bottle of wine, neither of which was poured or to allow us to taste (which is common courtesy in M&C)! We had the chateaubriand which was lovely perhaps erring on the side on medium when we ordered medium rare. We did not receive a check back and throughout the evening had to top up our own wine. We ordered dessert which was fine but once finished our server spent 10 minutes flirting with a table of women my partner had to walk over to the desk to ask another waiter to print our bill! We then felt rushed out the door. Nobody asked whether we enjoyed our evening and to be honest I wouldn’t have paid the service charge and wouldn’t be returning based on the very very poor service."

"If you value your hard earned money .Look for good value and quality food .Best to avoid this horrible place .And they charge 12.5% device charge for the pleasure .Absolute disgrace No wonder I enjoy Spain so much where they feed you well without having to rip you off with charges .Those guys are honest .This place is poor"

"This is casual eating with the restaurant/bar area mixed together. small plates are offered with grilling offers from rib eye and delicious chips. I had the ravioli of the month pumpkin with pecorino delicious."

"Hungry. The portions were incredibly small, miniscule. One of our party said that he had stopped at the petrol station on his journey home and bought a chocolate bar (or 2) as he was still hungry after the 2 course meal. His starter which he said was tasteless was a ham hough terraine and the only good thing on his main course was the one and only little(and I mean little cos I saw it) sausage balanced on a bland bed of beans and potatoes, not exactly going out to pay for food The bottled beers were also strangely tiny..but with large prices.
