"I was looking for a place for spare rib and am so on the don quijote.The restaurant is hidden on a side street and makes an inconspicuous impression from outside. the interior is friendly with plenty of wood and not overcrowded. the service was extremely courteous and very friendly and has explained us our ordered spare rib menu. the tapas to the appetizer were tiptop and tasty.The 1 kg spare ribs were perfect and the homemade bbq sauce recommended. only the homemade pommes could still need a bit of crispy. as a conclusion there was a creamma catelana, which really was a successful conclusion. my conclusion: always happy once again."

"Having checked out their menu earlier in the day with the very helpful and friendly staff member working the lunch shift to make sure there would be no problems finding a selection that would not upset my wife's dietary sensitivities, we came back for an early evening meal that was made so special by not only the quality of the food but the wonderfully cheery staff on duty who happily interacted with us. My wife went for a simple tuna sandwich with salad and the manager who took our order, aware of her dairy sensitivities, even made a special check that she would be OK with the way they made their bread. Other staff also checked with her during the meal to ensure everything was perfect for her.As for me, thankfully capable of eating most things without any issues, I had gone for the rack of ribs with a zesty sauce. Normally the high spot of this for me is getting into such a mess trying to get the meat off the bones and usually resorting to the King Henry VIII technique of picking individual ribs up with my fingers to gnaw away at. This restaurant's rack comes already boned and all you have to do is use the knife and fork and enjoy the beautifully cooked meat and sauce without needing to find a holiday dry cleaner the next day! The restaurant was showing a major football match on its TV's later in the evening and many of the tables were already reserved for that period which proved that this was a popular venue with locals. And so it should be judging by the fabulous experience we had tonight.Thank you to all the ladies on duty and the Duty Manager for a very happy dining experience and some lovely genuine Irish interactions and humour."

"I would like to share my experience of visiting Parterre One Restaurant in Basel. Recently, I returned to this restaurant with my family, and the evening was incredibly enjoyable, just like the last time we visited. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt a warm welcome and the attentiveness of the staff. Our waiter was exceptionally professional and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was flawless. The highlight of the evening was the delicious food and the excellent wine that was recommended to us by the chef. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and prepared with great care. The wine paired perfectly with our meals and added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. And also the speed of drink service. Our first round of drinks arrived swiftly after we placed our order! The overall experience at this restaurant was outstanding. From the delectable food to the exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The terrace in summer is beautiful. I look forward to returning to this establishment and enjoying more of their culinary delights."

"I had the spare ribs while my two fellow diners had the steak. The spare ribs is delicious. Nicely salted, no sauce. I tried a little of the steak which my friends have kindly spared me. Didn't enjoy it as much as the ribs. It's a little pricey for the food."

"Meh, not the most creative summary line we came up with, but even just rating Tanja Grandits' Restaurant Stucki was very difficult for us and the summary does kind of highlight both the positives and negatives in one go. We were in this lovely restaurant...for our wedding anniversary and boy, it did not disappoint. Since it was our first time there, we didn't know what to expect, besides having heard how nice it is. And indeed it that it was. Some of the special highlights: 90% of the dishes we had were absolutely marvelous. Peculiar combination of tastes coming together just beautifully harmoniously with a slight theme of using wild herbs. Really really great and for these dishes the quality and freshness of the ingredients was also just outstanding. The quantity of the portions! Now this point deserves a special highlight+ as we left the restaurant full. We are used to leaving feeling that we have eaten enough, but in Stucki we actually were completely full up (but without the feeling of having overeaten . So big kudos to the kitchen for good portioning! The service was exactly to our liking. Formal, but friendly with the ability to detect when to be informal (matching a conversation style . We quite dislike if a restaurant is too stuck up and formal as it feels incredibly unnatural and fake, hence why we wanted to especially thank all the service staff who were with us during the evening! So why not a perfect score of 5/5? Well, frankly, having paid 600 CHF (tip included is very steep in our experience, even among (2 Michelin starred restaurants. Remember that 10% of dishes we didn't like? Well the tastes of those were good/OK, but way too plain. Both of them were types of dishes that we could get in any (better quality medium range restaurant. In addition to the freshness of the langoustines served being just OK. And honestly, that is enough in our view to warrant a 4/5, considering the aforementioned price. Otherwise the setting/decor was nice, service was great, etc. Pity! In closing, we really hope and look forward to one day being able to go back and updating our score to a 5/5! And thank you to Tanja Grandits and the entire Restaurant Stucki team for making our anniversary special :"
