"We have always enjoyed the food from this takeaway, but we must thank the chef who came in on his day off (tuesdays) who specially cooked a large order the portions are always generous anyway) for my wife's birthday. It was his idea after...I'd ordered it on Monday night for putting in the fridge overnight. I was pleasantly surprised when his wife rang back to say her husband would come in specially and cook it fresh on the Tuesday. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal can really recommend any food bought from here. In these strange times, it's good to know there are caring people out there!"

"Big pre wedding group of us but the two waitresses coped admirably with us all, me and Mrs C just had an earth board to share with chips, the sharer was very good, excellent hummus, onion rings, breads, chicken bites and halloumi, washed down with a couple of decent pints of Charlie Wells DNA amber ale I cut my drinking teeth so to speak on Charles Wells ales so its maybe part of my DNA!! . Very pleasant evening for all of us"

"Banging Chinese. Best takeaway Chinese Ive had in some considerable time. The Singapore noodles are really fresh and actually have flavour. Chicken balls light crispy and perfectly cooked, no rubbery or worrying pink here! Husband said the ribs were absolutely spot on and done the way they should be instead of cut too small. Chicken wings were demolished. Rice cooked well. Delivered well hot, fresh and early. Happy days had a few now and definitely will be back again! Such a find."

"I’m very local to this pub and have come a few times for food and drink. Location is beautiful and convenient too. The food is on the pricey side considering the portions are pretty small and not always up to highest quality. Would love to see more vegan options too! Would be happy to continue to keep visiting in the hope this improves."

"We had lunch here with friends. It is a lovely traditional village pub with a good menu choice (including several vegetarian vegan options and some options in small and larger portion sizes and separate dessert board (if you have room! . The people serving us were friendly and helpful. We had to wait a while for the food but that was okay as the place was full (a testament to its reputation and the food was cooked to order. The food was good and the portion sizes were large. There was draft real ale, including Tring Brewery's Side Pocket for a Toad, which made my husband very happy! We'll definitely be returning."
