"Pub was EMPTY on a Thursday evening, we were the only ones in. Went for one of their own beers, which was cloudy and tasteless (definitely end of batch not stored right). After 5+ mins of waiting for it to settle we brought this up with the bar staff, who proceeded to pour herself a glass, sip it and tell us this is ‘how it is’, not acknowledging our disappointment, needless to say we were not impressed with the customer service. It’s a shame as we had been warned to avoid prior, but as real ale fans recently moving to Birmingham thought it was worth the trip"

"We ordered two meals by phone and collected in 15 mins. I do understand comments by others that the food is a bit basic and I would agree, but it was plentyful and good value. The pork and mushroom curry seemed to be pre-cooked sliced pork, mushrooms and some sliced onions added to a generous portion of curry sauce. Simple, but filling. Service: Take out"

"Three of us ate here and I can say the food is very good and a lot of choice However the lack of service is another thing, there seemed a lot of staff but was very hard to get someone to take our order then any further drinks we wanted was quite hard to get there was no check back on our food to see if everything was ok The staff seemed to look like they didn’t want to be there and was more happier standing at the bar area talking Shame really as always wanted to go here and was looking forward to it Would I return no! We will find another restaurant that makes you feel welcome"

"Ordered a take away and it came nearly an hour and a half later, cold with chips covered in black spots. Took it back and insisted on my money back. Turns out the place is now owned by the man who owns the Red Lantern Chinese Take Away. No surprise then that the food was poor. I’ve had meals from both take away snow and they are awful. It’s not the cook at Rainbow Hill but the owner who purchased poor quality raw materials and doesn’t store them appropriately. I had the misfortune to have a ‘discussion’ with him over the phone. He is rude, arrogant and foolish so it’s no wonder his food is so bad. Don’t bother using either take away, you will be disappointed."
