"My husband and I had a great 2 night stay. The staff were fantastic , couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. We were in a superior room which was lovely, large room with large smart tv. only slight negative was the bathroom which is in need of upgrading but this wouldn't deter us from booking again). We ate on the hotel on both evenings and the food was excellent as were the staff. Looking forward to visiting again."

"Service was very bad, the SPA wasn’t working and they never said so and it was one of the Main reasons I came for, very dirty found stuff of other guests in the room. One morning couldn’t shower because there was no warm water."

"Stopped in for lunch while shopping in St Andrews. First impression was the menu that was sticky and stuck together at our table. My partner had the mac and cheese and i ordered the first choice of burger on the menu. I couldn't order the beer i selected on the drink deal that accompanies the burger as they don't stock it. When i asked why it was on the menu as a selection i was told that it's only available down south in England. Brewdog pale ale is Scottish brewed! I ordered a flat white instead. Our food came out extremely quickly and it was obvious that my burger was not cooked to order as it had dried out around the edges and was lukewarm in the centre, either re-heated or held in a hot hold. The fries and mac and cheese were also lukewarm. I would have said to the staff but nobody came to check back and see if everything was ok. As we ate the supervisor was shouting over to a staff member attending to a tv screen. I felt she could have walked over and spoke to him rather than shout. All in all a poor experience and frankly we wouldn't have eaten if we weren't so hungry. I'm afraid we will not be back."

"Just back from Brewers Fayre, Bankhead Gate, Glenrothes. We were greeted by a nice young man named Ewan/Euan who showed us to our table. He was friendly, very professional and helpful. We could see the restaurant was short staffed and that he was by far the hardest worker on the floor/bar areas. However, when I ordered our food at the bar, my experience was not so good. I was served by a woman (don’t know her name as she wasn’t wearing a lanyard/badge but she walked with a limp and wore a red T shirt). She was unfriendly, made little eye contact, was abrupt in her manner and was also rude to Ewan in front of other customers. She did however chat away to another member of staff quite happily. The Manager Leanne was very friendly and looked busy too. The food was fine average in terms of quality of food, but tasty and we had no complaints. The toilets definitely need painted and cleaned as there were dirty water marks on the walls etc and they didn’t smell very pleasant. Ewan did the place proud and deserves a positive personal development review following this review please! Thank you."
