"Went there for the first time yesterday ordered the wings and the thin rice noodles with chicken and pork it was very tasty at a decent price. But what made it all worth wild was the young lady taking my order named Currie she was just a sweetheart very nice and professional. While I was waiting we talked about food and travel I told her I was maybe going to Thailand for my birthday and got excited because she said she loves their food because its so spicy and she wanted to go. If you have not been there you need to check them out and look for the flower (Currie) to take your order she knows her stuff.....good job!!!!!!"

"I have lived in the DC area for over 40 years and have tried Chinese restaurants from Baltimore, DC, Columbia, Fairfax, Tysons, and about every other town around and noting compares. I have also sought out good Chinese food in many major cities through the US and I still consider Hunan Herndon the best. We have been coming here for 12 years and it is always consistent. The food always comes out hot and fresh. Their Pu-Pu platter is tops with spare ribs, crisp not-greasy spring rolls, beef cho-cho, crisp fried wontons, paper chicken and shrimp tempura. We love to start off with a killer Zombie. All of their drinks are awesome and not water-down like most chain restaurants. Their crab rangoon is always a must have. Other favorites include the house fried rice, hunan chicken and the best kung-pao chicken anywhere. The service is top notch with a friendly staff that makes you feel like family and will cater to any request. If you are looking for a modern, stylish asian restaurant then go to P.F. Changs, but if you are looking for the very BEST Chinese food at a traditional chinese restaurant then Hunan Herndon is your place!"

"The lady who took my order over the phone was very friendly and professional. I ordered from this restaurant for delivery, usually when I contract partner / technicians work in my house, and the service and food are consistently great. The dishes with a brown sauce tasted very similar, probably because it is the same sauce, only different meat and vegetable combination. The food is not authentic Chinese, but it is quite good for an American Chinese organization. They use good shrimps and scallops. The honey substitute ribs were good, and my dogs like them. If I order next time, I will stick to the shrimps and broccoli or to a white saucer. The order was delivered with many sauces, paper plates, forks and lucky cookies. I like the food was placed in plastic, sealed containers. The young man was very friendly and pleasant. He greeted me with a smile. I will definitely order from this restaurant again."
