"A bifana ordered, I have a quarter inch of burned chicken with cheese. No paprika or onion, no sauce. And it took 25 minutes. After we finished our drink, we brought up the food and said that we will not pay for it, because we will not eat it, but they insisted that we pay. We paid for our drinks, but not paid for our barely chicken sandwich. Not to mention the Portuguese sports bar and Indian music videos on TV. Not a little Portuguese is in this place."

"We were looking forward to our visit as several friends had recommended Gilt. We visited around 5:30 on Sunday. We were seated promptly and our drinks were taken right away. We placed our order but, despite the restaurant being nearly empty at that time, we waited a very long tune until our first plate arrived. The scallops were tasty. However it was close to an hour before our other food arrived. The open kitchen allowed us to view the staff at work. Verrrrrry slow. Also it didn't appear they were wearing hairnets, etc, so not the greatest impression for those viewing then as they prepped our food. We had the tuna tacos, lamb ribs, stuffed peppers, and the Korean chicken. We liked the chicken and lamb. However, the tuna came drizzled with mustard which was not a good flavor combination. We were undecided whether or not we cared for the pepper dish. All in all, we were disappointed and likely won't return to Gilt due to the slow kitchen service and the actual dishes themselves. For the money, the dishes should be in point, as well as the service. We travel and dine extensively and we know they can do better"

"This is a Sports Bar type of place with nice atmosphere pleasant staff and good food.We went for lunch and I had the Greek salad which was tastey enough but a bit soggy at the bottom.No complaints though.U would return."

"Went out with another couple. They were quite busy but our waitress was outstanding. Caesar salads, escargot, beef wellington, calamari, spicy shrimp, salmon were all great from what I tasted and could see. I had their Chicken Madeira which was moist and the sauce was...great."

"This is easily my favourite place to have a pint in KW. Regularly switched out Craft Beers, excellent food - The Squealer is *ahmazing*, but I often opt for the massive Steak Frites with the unmatched Fire Grilled Caesar on the side - and a homey, "Cheers-like" atmosphere despite the sophisticated menu."

"The Kitchener Mandarin has become a delight to visit; I'm used to the ones in Barrie and Guelph. I found the food to be especially fresh at the Kitchener location. There have even been a couple instances where I was able to get a table without a reservation which I don't recommend .I've really enjoyed my last couple of visits here. I even ended up the same server Henry, who is very attentive and personable. Awesome staff!"
