"I'm glad we waited. Hostess warned it could wait a long time, but it was shorter than expected. Kellner was extremely fast and accommodating also with a larger group and small children. We didn't expect the food to be stellar, but it was better seafood than expected. Drinks were somewhat overpriced, but nothing exaggerated compared to home and came with some silly take souvenir cups. We also managed to catch a stellar sunset, pic attached. I would like to recommend this place for dinner while you are waiting in the area, but ready for a 45-minute."

"I wanted to like Shipwrecks very much. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. We were seated promptly, but 10-15 minutes went by with several servers walking by our table, none of whom acknowledged our presence, let alone offered water. Finally, we signaled to a nearby server to ask if we could have some water.The menu, at first glance, appears promising. Ultimately, it fails to deliver. $10.99 for a wedge salad? The lettuce was thrown in a bowl with a few store bought bacon bits and a few crumbles of cheese. The quality of all of the food was sub-par and not at all in line with the price tag for any of it. I could have made 5 wedge salads at home for the same price and much better quality.By this time, I should have requested my check and left. When you do ask for your check, the waiter tells you the total and stands by as you run your card and select tip. The pre-set tip amounts are ridiculous considering the service we received, the lowest amount was 18%. Unless you ask for a printed copy of your receipt, you won't notice the 3% convenience fee, which they definitely do not disclose.Honestly, overall very disappointing experience for the price. It doesn't feel like any of the people working there care to be there, the food lacks inspiration and passion, and they've lost their minds thinking they can charge so much and offer such a poor experience."

"This was the closest grocery store to our rental on our recent stay in OBX. For a Food Lion experience, this was alright. The staff was very friendly and we were able to find everything we needed. It's a LOT more expensive than our home base in VA though by quite a lot. So plan for that if you're coming down on vacation we brought a lot of pantry items and staples from home because it's always at least 20 30 cents more expensive per item."
