"Went here on Wednesday night to have a catch-up session with my friends.

Ordered sweet and sour fried fish. The portion is big, was delicious and nicely cooked. It is kinda tricky to eat because it has small bones in between the meat.
Also ordered stir fried vegetables with fried tofu. The portion is medium, you can share it between 2-3 adults. The taste was just okay.

During Wednesday night, the restaurant was quite empty which makes it cosy. However, the table service is not too quick despite the small number of customer."

"They do reasonable roast duck and some decent seafood dishes, but can be a little pricey for these items. Other dishes are okay, I wouldn't say this place really stands out with the stiff competition around Sunnybank, but it's pretty decent food."

"For me, Nandos has made my lunch choices a lot harder over the last 5 years or so. And I know it's the same for many others I know. In that it can be such a great taste sensation, it's hard to bring yourself to...decide on something else. With Zambeeka's, I sure have found that something else. Yes, of course it has its own unique spin on seasoned chicken. But it's still a delicious, satisfying and addictive form of what is basically a flavoured chicken industry. As a Nandos lover, chicken for me comes down to 3 key things. And I can apply these reference points for any form of chicken I have tasted Can you still taste the seasoning in the depths of the breast and thigh sections? So many chicken choices fall down in this area. The pieces with a lower surface area are much more satisfying. But take a bite deep into a breast section and it's all bland Are the innermost sections still tender and moist? Again, in line with the previous point, is the texture nice and consistent right the way through? And finally the basting/ sauce, is it rich and full. And is there enough to be able to drizzle on as much as is required? Not enough of wetness, leaves for me a totally unbalanced result The short story is that zambeekas Underwood ticked each box big time. And has ticked them each and every time I've ordered. Which I'm sorry to say hasn't been the case in around 20% of my countless Nandos forays over the years. However, we are at a small sample size of 7 orders One thing I know for sure... lunch is definitely something I now have to think about."

"Chicken chow mein, fried rice and beef and cashew. Fresh ingredients cooked really well. This restaurant hasn't long been open and hopefully it will maintain there good quality food at reasonable prices."

"The Noodle Club is a new establishment in the thriving Runcorn Plaza dining scene. The restaurant specializes in Chinese mid-west cuisine with a particular focus on hand stretched noodle dishes. We were there for weekday lunch and ordered their signature Lanzhou beef ramen & lamb combination noodle soup.

They have a well displayed cold appetiser fridge containing Chinese classics such as boiled peanuts, pork skin jelly & varieties of pickled vegies. For $3 a serve, we ordered their boiled peanuts & shredded tofu skin.

Whilst waiting for our food, I had a sense of déjà vu. The entire interior design of the previous “Gourmet Collection” was left untouched. Even chairs and tables were directly transferred over. Ownership swap on a budget this is.

First dishes to arrive are the appetisers. The boiled peanuts with diced pickled vegies were on the crunchy, salty & flavourless side. Shredded tofu skin seasoned with dash of soy and sesame oil was quite refreshing with a strong almost concentrated tofu taste. Overall the appetisers were underwhelming. 2.5/5

The Lanzhou beef ramen was up next with hand stretched thin noodles in white radish beef stock garnished with beef cubes & coriander. The strong beef and radish scent from the ramen was very appetising but the problems start to appear when you dig in. The beef cubes provided was soo fatty it ruins the overall balance of the ramen. The soup itself was over seasoned with salt and MSG which leaves your palate dry with a metallic aftertaste. The only positive was the perfectly cooked hand stretched thin noodle. 2.5/5

Lamb combination noodle soup was last to arrive. Containing hand stretched wide noodles, sliced lamb, Chinese mushrooms & cloud ear fungus all in a white milky broth. The noodles in this are wide, chewy & cooked just right. The meat was on the dry and flavourless side. The broth on the other hand contains a strong (almost unbearable) lamb taste. With a big dash of black vinegar & chilli oil, we were able to finish majority of the noodles. 3/5

Service was ok at best with staff speaking limited English and confusion with orders at times. I observed the table beside us was given the wrong order twice. 3/5

Hint: Their specialty Lanzhou beef ramen is not worth trying. Suggest to give their handmade shaved noodles a go. If you anticipate this to be an authentic Chinese mid-west/Xin Jiang restaurant, you will be disappointed."

"Tonight after tobaki. we've known this place for a few time. there was a good choice of meat and fed and cooked. the chicken wings were great! as good as any of the specialized chicken joints. The...staff are really efficient in changing their hot plates, which is great as it significantly reduces the smoke that is generated. as much as ever. love this place and under $30 it remains amazingly worth it."
