"Kokoro is definitely one of my favourite restaurant chains, serving up delicious umami mazesoba which is kind of like a dry noodle with a variety of toppings! The texture of the noodle is very similar to udon. It is a very heavy meal, definitely add the vinegar they have available! Even as someone who doesn't usually enjoy tart/vinegar flavour, I think it's an essential for this dish!I'm so happy they're still doing their free XXL noodle promotion, where you can get more noodles at no extra cost! I love ordering the Zenbu ~20) which comes with lots of toppings. The Niku Mazesoba is a second favourite of mine. It's definitely enough for another meal to take home! At the end of your meal, you can ask for a complimentary small rice to mix with leftover sauce and toppings. Even if I pack to take home, I can't skip out on the rice!They also serve ramen but I wouldn't say I'd recommend it. But it is good to have other options!The Kerrisdale location is much smaller than their other branches, so if you are a party of 4+ you may expect to wait at busy times!"

"Tl;dr: While I did not try the dim sum while at dim sum master, the overall experience was decent but could use a few more improvements to be a 5 star compared to other Chinese restaurants.The food was good. I had the pork and rice combo and some deep fried wontons. I was largely impressed with the quality of the pork and it was a good mix of crunchy and soft. The wonton were good too but they did have a different taste to them than im used to, not a bad taste but different. Overall the food was as expected for a Chinese restaurant, a step up from take out but not spectacular. 4/5Atmosphere was fine. Decor and table settings were good and nice. Tables were clean and well looked after. However, they lose points for the TV soap operas playing in the background at a volume that was a bit loud, not excessive but it would've been better with music, even better with traditional music. 3/5Service was also just OK. The food took a while to come out for a mostly empty restaurant. I finished my water early on and the server never refilled it without me asking for it. Service was friendly though, but could've used another server as it she seemed a bit overwhelmed as it got busier. 3/5"
