"This was our first and last visit. At first we were impressed with the ambience and quality of the food. It had an ‘old fashioned’ traditional dining feel about the restaurant and the starters were very tasty. Seeing the male Chinese waiter blow his nose on a table cloth by the kitchen door was very off putting. We had one wrong main course delivered to the table which when we queried this we decided to keep it and it was tasty. We also chose Seabass which was on the menu along with other fish dishes at a price we thought to be around £12. When the bill came, they charged a whopping £31.50 for a piece of fish that was incredibly small and very badly filleted from the bone. It was also cold by the time it got to the table. When we queried this at the time of paying the restaurant told us that it was the correct price according to what they paid their suppliers!! The Manager seemed annoyed that we queried the price. Warning to future guests to avoid items on the menu which are not absolutely clearly priced as you’re likely to be stung!!! A meal for two here cost £125 with only 4 small beers ! It was £30 over priced and whilst the young waitress did her very best to keep all customers happy, the manager and other member of staff were not friendly at all. Shame because there aren’t many Chinese restaurants around any more and we had hoped to find one in Leigh House."
