"This was my second time at Zaffron and while it was a good experience, the cost is not justified. I’m not sure if prices went up since I last came, but $40 for 3 shrimp, 2 scallops, and some veggies with rice is unacceptable. I ordered the shrimp and scallop kebab expecting to get 2 filled skewers only to be yearning for more. My wife got the veggie kebab which also felt overpriced at over $20. I guess it makes sense the online menus don’t have prices. And to boot, the hummus appetizer is clearly served with too little pita, for which they’ll charge extra for each pita serving. While the food is decent, I can’t say I’ll be returning anytime soon based on all of this."

"My husband and I recently dined at Braise. It was a last minute decision and we had no idea what to expect. Our food was delicious, fresh, innovative and fun. We tried some new dishes such as the wild boar Osso bucco, and a lip smacking dessert called Elvis Presly cake. it was a poundcake base with peanut butter and crispy bacon. A little scoop of ice cream topped it off. So yummy. The beet salad was really good as well. Criticism would be that many things were served with an egg of some type. I know this is the new way of adding protein to a dish, but for my taste my choices would have widened had only one dish contained an egg and not 4 dishes. I think the soup sounded very interesting, but did not try because of the poached egg. I do hope that this restaurant flies. Mark is a talented chef. We will return. And I have to try the brussel sprouts with duck bacon."

"Have eaten there six times in 2012. Every time consistently excellent dishes. Wait staff very friendly, even in busy nights, never feel rushed. The decor is simple, non-deflecting and not too dim, lighting is good. BYOB and employees have good timing on bottle openings and empty bottles. I always get a soup for the first course and it never disappoints."
