"Definitely drink in my top 10 wines in South Africa! They have very easy to drink, “light” wines, full-bodied. Haute Cabriere is on the more expensive side, but it was a real treat that made a tasting there! Your Red Wine Reserve and Rose is my favorite! Thank you for the good and unique experience!"

"Very enjoyable Sunday lunch. The Wiener Schnitzel was very good, so was the Wurstsalat. The Austrian Ravioli were good, maybe a bit too buttery (i.e. too rich), while the filling was slightly lacking flavour (alternatively, a bit more cheese could be added on top to enhance the flavours). The chef was very generous with the salmon on top of the salad. Overall, excellent. Portions are large, service is friendly, views from the garden are stunning. We'll definitely return. Oh...what we would love to see on the menu would be an Almdudler and an Austrian or Bavarian beer vom Fass. But sourcing them is probably difficult."

"What a nice place! The view is absolutely beautiful but the food is AMAZING! it was a little chilly so the fireplace was so nice. We had their burgers and wow probably some of the best I've had! I think they can maybe offer a little bit more to drink for the ladies but otherwise great place and great service!"

"Attentive service, lovely food, excellent wine an idyllic experience is on your doorstep Paarl seems like it might be a great trek. However we were pleasantly surprised to be rewarded with an idyllic escape after a 40 minute journey out of Cape Town. Service was superlative and the restaurant is a run attentively and unobtrusively. The menu was delightful with foraged items being used excellently, beautifully and tastily in a garden setting with a wonderful landscape to crown it all. Portions were generous and the wine is incredible."

"Avontuur is a diners dream. The food is very well presented, appetizing and scrumptious. Excellent wines. The service is perfect with friendly and helpful staff. I've always felt very special dinning here. My favourites being freshly baked bread, Luna de Miel Chardonnay Reserve, the duck and deep fried ice cream. Truly a wow experience."

"Pretty cool joint. Great atmosphere and service. Music is not too loud which is a plus. Don't have to shout to each other during a conversation. Had their chicken strips and I must say . The mayo dip is also worth a mention. Owner checked on us a couple of times which was cool as well. Wouldn't mind being back here at all. Worth a hangout spot."

"I love this place, such a nice location and relaxed vibe. The chicken burger is the best one I have ever had. I love that they give ocasional complementary cheese tastings. Have also shared many of their cheese and meat platters, it is very nice! I also purchase free range beef from their deli regurary. Very convenient. The staff and manager is also very friendly."
