"We returned from salmon fishing in Canada and stayed in Portsmouth for the night. Rudi’s found on OT. Downtown Portsmouth was carved with tourists on Saturday night, so Rudis parking was a welcome view. We arrived well before our reservation, and the staff was very accommodating. They found us a good table. Very pleasant room with an excellent pianist who provides live music. The tables were full. The waitress was attentive. The paprikasalate with local peasants was good, but the lobster Risotto was a great disappointment, gooey and tasteless. The Haddock of my friend was crisp, but also generally lacking taste. We skipped Dessert. Maybe we have them in a bad night."

"While seating in the intimate back room, 2 persons not eating at Massimo's came into talk with 4 of their friends at a table in this same room. They were LOUD, INCONSIDERATE as their were 4 tables back there who were celebrating their anniversary, birthdays, and/ or new house. The loud group really was a bummer!!"

"Service was OK. Waitress was rarely around. Steak was good though a bit over priced. We split 3 sides for two and had loads left over good sized portions. My sauce was forgotten but we got charged for it my own fault for not saying anything, but this shouldn 't happen at this type of restaurant."

"The food was good, but when the order was submitted, it had a wrong object and when I asked for a replacement, they argued that they had given me the right order. they have finally created and congruently a replacement. the person on the counter apologised for the owners, but also an apology that they were tired and overworked. I don't do that with my customers."

"We’ve had the Traditional Irish St Patrick’s Day Corned beef cabbage at The Old Salt, Ri Ra, Barley House, etc. and this was by far the best. Very lean corned beef; not fatty! We will be back next year. Last yr they did not have it so we were very disappointed, but very happy they offered it in 2018!"
