Contribute FeedbackRudi's restaurant in Portsmouth offers a mixed dining experience, with some patrons praising the excellent atmosphere, service, and food, while others have expressed disappointment with the slow service, lackluster meals, and unimpressive cocktails. Despite some negative reviews, the restaurant has been lauded as a great spot for special occasions, offering a quiet, romantic setting with fantastic meal and drink options. The staff has also been commended for their responsiveness and accommodation during a memorial gathering. Overall, while some diners have had a less than stellar experience at Rudi's, others consider it one of their favorite restaurants in town.
We returned from salmon fishing in Canada and held in portsmouth for the night. Rudi’s found on ot. the inner city of portsmouth was dug on Saturday night with tourist so rudi parking was a welcome view. we arrived well before our reservation time and the staff was very accommodating. they found us a good table. very pleasant room with an excellent pianist who provides live music. the tables were full. the waitress was attentive. the paprikasalat with local abyss was good, but the lobster risotto was a great disappointment, gooey and tasteless. the fish of my friend was crisp, but also generally lacked taste. we have jumped over dessert. Maybe we have them in a bad night.
Eating and service was really good. the restaurant was quite loud, but the conversation was difficult. I would return for the food.
It was our first visit. I had the greatest lammings I had ever seen and they were wonderful. all our foods were well prepared and pleasant.
Have dined at Rudi's a half dozen times. Service is always excellent, and food is above average. Nice atmosphere and jazz brunch is especially enjoyable.
A quiet Wednesday evening with a friend. Very pleasant, friendly staff. Fine local fare. We had clam chowder and little neck clam appetizers. The entrees were scallops and lobster rolls. It was very good food, with clever presentations and tasty elements. I'd go there again. It's on the pricey side, but worth it.
