"Went here after a bad experience at another restaurant in Brecon, where we left early. We were very hungry ; Had a seabars for diner, which was presented very nicely and it tasted very well. Only disadvantage: no deserts : But worth visiting."

"I visited this wonderful pub in Rhayader The staff were very capable The new landlord and landlady are an amazing couple and made me feel very welcome, as a lone visitor that means a tremendous amount to me. I highly recommend The Eagles Inn for...the food and an excellent pint of Butty Bach"

"That was a delicious meal. I love the burger. juicy and tasteful! the texture of the chips was ideal, a wonderful balance of soft and crispy. the woofers were great. "Fantastic food, delicious and rich large portions. Music way too loud to be comfortable, chairs a bit narrow on the sides for anyone bigger than a size 8/10 lovely waitresses that were intent on cleaning but not looking to check customers needs. Sorry for that moan as we cannot wait to come back and will tell everyone we know how amazing the food surroundings and view is."

"Visited last month for Sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere and 5 star food. I had the beef which was cooked perfectly, served with Yorkshire pud, veg and a large jug of gravy. My husband had the turkey and my mother had the lamb, they said that theirs was cooked perfectly too. Service was very good and we were looked after well. Excellent value for money. We have also tried the home made pizza here too and couldn’t fault. Highly recommended, 5 star all round well worth a visit."

"The food at Checkers was definitely 5/5 . The flavours and experience were superb. We had booked via their website and had only gone as I had been given £40 in vouchers by my work colleagues. There was nowhere to indicate on the site that we had vouchers but as we knew they would hardly cover the bill we didn’t worry. Also the voucher was bought from them so had been paid for in advance and was still in date. After a brilliant meal we went to pay and used our voucher. £168 £40) We were told off in a curt manner but they did grudgingly take the voucher. It left a sour taste on what should have been an excellent experience."
