"All wetherspoons have their own charm, but this is absolutely beautiful. beautiful decoration that reminds them of days, but modern. just one of the best wetherspoons out there for it, and also the most civil in which I was. its quiet, relaxed, even at peak times. large pub"

"Wrong food delivered due to items being in the wrong sections on just eat. Thought I’d ordered king prawn curry I got Szechuan something also ordered Singapore chow Mein and I got them vercilli stringy noodle things which were so dried up they looked like...they had been left uncovered under hot lights. I also ordered salt and pepper king prawns which were hard and egg fried rice which did look ok. I thought I’d got the wrong order so I rang up and the reception I got was totally unacceptable. I can accept that it’s partly my fault on the order side because I didn’t double check, I just saw king prawn in the curry section and clicked on it as with the chow Mein but when I spoke to the bloke it was my fault right down to the stringy noodles being unedible and according to him completely the wrong colour for a chow mein!!!!! Regardless of the fact that it was the wrong food he never offered any recompense whatsoever for the dried up and hard food that I did receive, he just kept saying that that’s what I ordered so that’s what I got."

"As previous review waitress held our drinks glasses at the top, not hygienic at anytime but particularly during the pandemic. Food mediocre/poor. No staff dress code, addressed as ‘darling’. Surroundings shabby and better attention needs to be paid to cleaning tables between customers. Charged us...for beer which was sent back as it smelt and tasted fusty. It is sometime since our previous visit we won’t be going back there has been significant fall in the venue since our previous visit."

"Went with a friend for a Carvery lunch. We ordered a standard carvery plate and there was a choice of Beef,Gammon or Pork. I had the beef which I have to say was tasty and tender , the Onion Gravy was also very flavourfull but...that is where it ended . We received slices of meat each which I thought was very stingy, the Chef was very good at cutting thin slices as well. The vegetables were watery and overcooked , the food was lukewarm. Had to visit the loo and it was obvious that they are not inspected regularly . I won't go into details but suffice it to say I was not impressed . Budding opera singers may be glad to learn that the cubicles in the Gents have no lock bolts and so a rendition of your favourite song is required to prevent unwanted incursions whilst you are busy' The decor of the pub was nice and there were a variety of areas and table sizes to cater for couples or larger parties. I won't be returning though............."

"Booked at short notice, on Thursday, for four of us. Service, meal atmosphere, all excellent. Been before, some time ago for lunch and that was good too. No request too much trouble, and made very welcome. Thanks for a lovely meal."
