"It's as good as it getswe had a nice table on their small patio on a hot summer evening. Our server was very attentive and helped us with our choices. First we were treated to a small champagne welcome. Then we tried a wonderful Riesling from Germany that was being served by the glass - only a few bottles in Canada - which was anything but ordinary. We selected 5 items from the "tapas-style" menu (nothing Spanish) and she brought them out in a wonderful order. First came the grilled scallops in an aioli (perfectly cooked slightly glistening) with the zucchini that has layers of flavour and texture. My new favourite, the fish tacos were up next - Manitoba pike, breaded for a nice crunch with a light tangy green sauce. The third round was the charred cabbage (my previous favourite) full of flavour having been braised before the char as a perfect compliment to the Lamb ribs (never had lamb ribs before) that were soft and tender and in a garlic sauce Dessert - well first there was the dessert wine - then there were the madeleines (my only criticism of the whole meal was that they had too much colour on them rather than the all white but that shows you I have no real criticism) and my new favourite dessert the nectarine - which is a cobbler, yogurt, parfait, inspiration filled with sweet fruit, slightly sour yogurt, some crunch bits (no idea what they were) that truly makes you think twice about ordering another. would I go back? - YES"

"Had not been here for about 5 years so was expecting a great meal. so disappointed had to send gnocci back as it was too salty to eat came back too spicy to eat. Other dish had uncooked veg. it was crunchy. Appetizer of calimari was deep fried and the presentation included all the little part bits of calimari. I have had good meals in here years ago but clearly it is no longer what it was. I won't be going back."
