"The food was perfectly edible but every item appeared to have been a pre-packaged. The chips were fries. The fish (we both had it) were suspiciously similar in appearance shape and batter texture. The place was (we felt) over-lit and was essentially a local pub with a food option. The service was good and attentive. Unfortunately the food didn't sparkle."

"We came up for a family funeral where the after service 'get together ' was held. Due to the distance we travelled, we also decided to stay over in two of the rooms at The Crown. Staff were attentive and excellent in the service they provided a credit to the place. Rooms were clean, warm and cosy with everything you would wish for and more. We thought the food drinks were good value having eaten in the evening there and the included breakfast with the room rate was more than enough. All good quality and always served with a smile. Large car park and free WIFI would recommended"

"Went on my birthday for a meal with family (7 of us). The food was really nice, and the young man serving us was nice, however we were left quite disappointed. We handed a homemade birthday cake over to them on arrival and they kindly...lit the candles and sang happy birthday, but didn’t tell us until after that we weren’t actually allowed to eat this there and had to take it home. I just found this so strange and have never come across it before. We spend over £350 here (I would say food/drink are slightly overpriced) so you would have thought they’d have let us eat the cake?! For such a silly thing you’ve now lost 7 local people who sadly won’t be coming again. Shame."

"I came to the pub first time with my father and I. Came for some lunch and was very welcoming. Staff very polite and positive. We ordered the signature burgers and quite frankly was one of the best burgers I’ve had. Food came fairly quickly too has a very good family friendly atmosphere around the pub. 10/10 food and 10/10 service. Definitely visiting again and would 100% recommend to friends and family!"
