"I have Celiac Disease and I was terrified to eat something new that was gluten free because 9 out of 10 times it 's not and I always end up sicker then a dog. Well I 'm glad my husband called and he is my number 1 supporter and asked about all the gluten free options, how it 's cooked, the whole questioner and process to make sure if we ordered I wouldn 't end up sick within the first few minutes (it 's happened one to many times). But long story short....first off the customer service was 10/10, they not once got annoyed, professional, and very knowledgeable about my disease and understanding of the severity and that alone was incredible. But the food!! Oh my goodness, the gluten free pasta with Aalfredo sauce and fresh broccoli were out of this world, and the flatbread was to die for. And the best part is the food was not only INCREDIBLE but no reactions to my gut except happiness and that 's a rare. So thank you for your outstanding service and the most delicious food I 've had in over 10 years."

"The dinner menu here is interesting, thoughtfully prepared and presented, and very tasty. We've enjoyed everything we had here from mixed drinks to main courses to dessert. It's difficult to avoid spending over $100 on a meal for two, but for us the food is generally worth the price and certainly a cut above many other eateries in Pittsfield.The service, unfortunately, does not rise to the same level of professionalism as the cuisine. As far as we can tell this is a training and staffing issue that is tragically common in the Berkshires.Our latest visit was so frustrating I tried to gently coach our server, who was clearly not familiar or experienced with waiting tables or food let alone this restaurant's menu but the coaching was of little use. Despite there being only a handful of folks in the restaurant and two servers, diners sat around waiting a for their water, waiting to order, waiting for their meals and checks...all for a painfully long time.Our drinks never appeared (I had to fetch them from the bar myself, where they had been sitting for some fifteen minutes), our main course arrived lukewarm, our water glasses remained perpetually empty (until I again went to the bar to have them refilled myself), and no one ever checked on us...not even once.It was an unusually bad experience.So do go for the excellent food. That is terrifically worth it. But prepare to be extra patient with untrained staff who seem to hide out of sight most of the time and who really don't understand the basics of customer service. If the service were even vaguely competent at Hotel on North, this would be a five star review. Again, though, perhaps they can't be faulted for a persisting lack of workers in the Berkshire hospitality industry."

"The cocktails were great! Cute cozy modern little bar. Highly recommend the fried burrata, the steak frites (holy cow that garlic butter) and the flourless chocolate cake! All of it was super good and very friendly service!"
