"Full disclosure first. I’m a Woking local and use this bar regularly for drinks and a pint of the excellent Angelo beer. The team are always friendly and make you feel welcome. As a little bar it’s got a great reputation in its own right...as a place for a drink. But I don’t eat there much and I did Friday and felt it was well worth taking the time to write a review. At for a two course lunch it’s astonishing value for the quality delivered. It’s a small menu, meaning you know it’s done right. My starter was meatballs with a fresh rocket leaf salad and a wonderfully rich tomato sauce, just on the right side of garlic and seasoning. For main I had the chicken Milanese. The chicken was moist, a breadcrumb coating that added to the pepper/spice of the chicken. The highlight for me though was the sides. When the sides are done so well you know that the rest is gonna be brilliant. Lovely Mediterranean vegetables and mini roasted/pan fried potatoes were moreish. Lots of good places cropping up in Woking now, this is one of, if not the best of them."

"Lunch for four was delicious. Mackerel/ pea/ mint, and homemade humble crackers as appetizers, artichokes and plaice for the net, with hash browns and French beans. Would have wanted more Veggie selections. Large selection of wines, gins and soft drinks. Charming in front of the house team."

"We ended up here after a day trip to Woking to see a show at the local theatre and I forgot about the show after trying the food. The mushroom soup was amazing, the salad was amazing, the desserts, even the cocktails. Everything was amazing."
