"Located in one of the most typical place of Lausanne, between the cathedral and the old castle. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace with a great view on the cathedral. The street is pedestrian which is great for children who can play in the street during the lunch. The food is the usual italian, but the meals are home-cooked and you feel the difference in your plate. The waitress was very nice and professional. The bill is very reasonable, nearly cheap given the great location and the touristic neighborhood."

"... the service is not always at its top. Well located close to the main station. I would rather go for Pizza, they are good, while the rest lacks sometimes a bit of quality and taste, but overall ok!"

"Went for lunch with friends, as it was one of the sunniest days so far this summer we decided to have lunch on the terrace. We had to wait quite a while for service as there were not enough staff. My choice was a beef tartar with toast, and a green salad. The salad leaves had seen better days, toast was half-singed baguette, and I had to send it back three times before I was served somewhat toasted baguette, by which time the tartar - of questionable quality - was lukewarm and poorly seasoned. The waitress was helpful, but was told by the cook that this was the way they served toast at the Auberge. All in all very disappointing and will certainly not return."
