"We visited here twice whilst staying nearby. The first reason for eating here was that dogs are allowed in the bar. On the first night I enjoyed the unusual combination of BBQ belly pork with Mac and cheese and garlic bread. Very good and filling! My wife enjoyed a pasta dish with a cream and garlic sauce. On our return visit we were advised that there was a quiet table in the corner of the restaurant which we could sit at with the dog. This time I enjoyed a cheeseburger while my wife enjoyed loaded fries. No room for desert again. The food was good and the staff friendly and efficient. We will be back. An added plus is the car park next door has free parking after 7pm."

"Lovely place for lunch with amazing views. Peaceful surroundings, great food. I had the caesar salad which was amazing! Best salad I've had in ages. My husband had the burger which was equally as tasty. Highly recommended stop off in this stunning village by the sea."

"Stopped here for lunch. Very surprised by the menu choice and the high quality of the food. This is fine dining at great value. Had wood pigeon and venison steak, absolutely superb standard. A must visit when in Milford."

"I thought the best cod I had ever eaten was at a small stall near the harbour in Rejkavik…..until I had lunch at the Billycan yesterday ! The cod goujons were silky smooth, almost pearlescent and the batter was light. The chips and salad were perfect. My husband described his beef medallions as phenomenal, generous and cooked exactly as he wanted. The service is fantastic, quietly efficient and attentive. "Don't be put off by the rather run down exterior and untidy car park area. Inside the pub is bright and clean and very welcoming. We had a lovely lunch with friends (2 of us had scampi, 1 fish and chips and 1 burger). This is not gastro food but good quality home cooked pub fayre with proper chips like you'll remember them from the 70's. We all had desserts also home made, the boys especially enjoyed their large bowls of crumble swimming in custard. We had our 3 dogs with us and were able to take them into the bar. Good value for money at around £25 a head for the 2 courses and a couple of rounds of drinks."
