"We were so pleased to see how crowded the bar was. The pub was buzzing. We were found a table in the bar, which we preferred to eating in the conservatory. The staff were plentiful. Service was quick. We did have to wait a bit for my partner's main but that was okay because it was very pleasant sitting in the .bar and enjoying the friendly atmosphere."

"My friend and I popped in after a long walk and had the most amazing Sunday Lunch. I had lamb shank and she had roast beef. Both were perfectly cooked and came with beautiful crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, swede and carrot mash, cauliflower and broccoli cheese and red cabbage. Excellent value and delicious."

"Came here to get lunch on a Sunday. All four of us had a lovely meal and were greater by very friendly staff. The kids fish goujons were very large which they were very happy of. Myself and my mum both had the fish and we were not disappointed. Very tasty meal, a very large size with lots of vegetables on the side. Will be going back when we are in the area."

"Visited late Saturday afternoon, checked with the guys as it was near to closing time, no problem shown to a lovely room with a fantastic view of the cathedral. We were advised that the roast options had sold out (expected this due to the time of day) we ordered our drinks and sandwiches. The coffees, tea hot chocolate weer all great the sandwiches (complete with salad and crisps) filled us up! I can personally vouch for the ham, mustard cucumber ones and no complaints from the other family members about their triple cheese /homemade pickle, egg cress and salmon /cream cheese ones either. A hidden gem right in the shadow of the cathedral, will defo return earlier to try a roast when in Peterborough again."

"Visited the cherry house on Sunday and was really looking forward to it. The starter was ok melon balls with Parma ham. I chose rib of beef which was chewy I had a selection of vegetables which in my opinion didn't seem to have been seasoned. The sherry trifle was ok but didn't have fresh cream just synthetic cream.very surprised as I I was expecting a very high standard here"

"Only a great place to visit! the location is excellent next to the river so that they can relax with an excellent glass wine or a beer while sitting in the beer garden under the trees. the river has often dug boats, how people stop to have a meal in the pub. at our last visit they had a barbecue so they could have a burger in a bungalow with their beer! wadenhoe in a beautiful village to explore. they can go to church when they feel energetic before they go for a well-deserved glass wein. on a Sunday you can get sometines a creamtee in the village hall!"
