"We've been here lunch and evening meal, this place never disappoints! Steak cooked to perfection, generous portions of vegetables, yummy Ginger sticky pudding.The perfect birthday treat, as we had anticipated. I like the additional seafood menu and by the vast amount of mussels we saw coming from the kitchen these are hugely popular."

"Couldn’t really fault the food, plates were hot but the food cold. Service wasn’t the best, had to go to the bar ourselves to get drinks as we were never asked. Had to chase sauces and additional cutlery after starters. Don’t have an issue paying good money for food and this was expensive but the service needs to come with it, in my opinion. Added at 12.5% service charge on as well and were rude when we said we weren’t paying it. Hopefully for them, it was just down to being busy. Shame it was on Mother’s Day that last all."

"Went for a dinner on A Friday night better to book in advance for high demand days). The service was great so as food: really enjoyed the beef pie and desserts. Chicken schnitzel was ok nothing wrong- just a normal chicken schnitzel). Want to come back for breakfast. Not too expensive and good food and service."

"We recently moved to the area and saw the great reviews on travel advisers, so we booked a table as a special opportunity to celebrate the women's birthdays that both appeared. Unfortunately we were so disappointed. We booked a table for 4 people at 8 a.m. and arrived 10 minutes early. We said the table was not ready and was asked to drink a drink at the bar while the table was prepared. After 15 minutes of waiting, we asked with the manager if the table was ready, and he said a few more minutes. After another 10 minutes we asked the manager again and he said he can't force people to leave the table if they weren't ready. In fact, he was rather rude and abrupt and did not apologize. At 08:25 we suggested that we had enough to wait a round and wanted to go and suddenly our table was ready. Once we were asked if we wanted more drinks and then our order was taken. No offer was made for a round of drinks on the house to be waited. Our starters arrived within 20 minutes and immediately followed by our main courses. Three of the party ordered steaks. The steak was blande and the peppercorn sauce was without peppercorns. During one of the table staff the plates she asked if everything was fine with meals, we mentioned the tasteless steaks and sauce and we were rudely said we had mentioned something at the beginning. The young lady who presented us with the bill was very pleasant and polite the manager should take a leaf out of her book. Unfortunately, we will never return to this facility again."

"Nice place but we visited on a cold day and and if you weren’t seated directly in front of the open fire it was chilly in the restaurant . Also some of the food needed to be hotter than served. And I totally disagree with the service charge, on our bill it was £30 thank goodness it was discretionary the service certainly didn’t live up to that high charge. That should be removed entirely and left at the customers discretion. Kind of changed the mood of the lunch which was a shame."
