"General It's not a secret that I appreciate the family of this inn. Monday and Tuesday have been rest days for some time. At noon only the post office cups are opened in the week. In the evening, the gourmet restaurant – and on Sundays, both facilities only open at lunchtime. For 50 years now there has been mail under the direction of the Wilbrand family. For many years, they already have the Michelin star. We are also always convinced of the benefits. Ambiente It is cozy in the rooms – usually we sit in the cultivation that has plenty of light and is brightly designed. Lunch menu 3 gear – 69,00 € Various crispy rustic bread slices and herbal butter as well as a fine liver paste. Greetings from the kitchen: Red Bete Lachs pumpkin celery The mail is still not saved with greetings. This alone is the greatest praise. It's just fun. It is partly classic, but it is always something seasonal and also surprising. This time I would like to highlight the celery performance. In addition to the fine root vegetables we found a red wine butter and thin champignon strips on the plate. Appetizer: Hamachi – Miso – Gurke – ginger The first gear convinced with a cylinder of fish, fresh cucumber, mild ginger and a strong sauce. Main course: Filet vom bergischen Weiderind – Aubergine – Kürbis – Kichererbse – Tabouleh The meat was buttery, a strong sauce wrapped the whole. She tasted strong, but in my eyes she would have “only” under the flesh. But I see that the meat was swollen and not steak as a short roast. And that's how it's gonna be okay. The piece of pumpkin was already shaped and not too soft. The other ingredients were processed to puree or cream. These are not our favorite types of preparation, but it tasted good if it was soft, but the spices convinced. or: Skreifilet aus der Kamillendampf – Zitronenrisotto – Senf Cutting Lair Vinaigrette – sworn fennel – champagne infusion The fillet was optimally damped and spiced on top was also a stretchy Klecks caviar applied. The Risotto was creamy, but not too soft, the sauces each accompanied the main ingredient. And the fennel vegetables were visually beautifully dressed and tasted positively different to the pleasure of the daughter. Dessert: Dunkle Mousse au Chocolat – Pineapples – Banana sorbet – Coconut tuiles or optionally also cheese from “Wingenfeld” My wife wished a bright variant and got it too. The mousse was pleasant in taste. The banana sorbet came very well with us; otherwise we don't like this fruit so much in desserts. The little waffles also pleased us. Coffee: Pastries – Chocolates Crème brûlée Cannelés de Bordeaux Also here we received a fine and large selection of Petit Four. We split things up with and without almonds and hazelnuts and had a proper conclusion.
