"Been coming to restaurants here for around 40 years (it was a ‘greasy spoon’ café when I first came I believe) I used to think the food was incredible when a student. On this occasion it was very nice but perhaps my tastes have changed, and I was not blown away by my Chicken Jalfrezi. My friend enjoyed it very much and the overall experience was very good. Keep the food up to top standard though please."

"We were out for a few drinks in highgate and looking to go for a curry. Seen decent reviews for here and as it was nearby decided to try. As it was on the meercat meals 2for1 we thought that a bonus. When we arrived there were 4 people in the restaurant who left shortly afterwards. When ordering we were told we could only order traditional dishes if using meercat. Not good as we both had chosen other dishes. Doesn't make sense as the dishes were all similar prices anyway. It basically rules out 80% of the menu. It defeats the purpose of offering discounts to get people in then having unsatisfied customers as they won't return. We've tried loads of places on the meercat and when it's good we return and some of them we visit regularly as we eat out 4/5 nights a week. Needless to say we won't be returning. Pity as the food was ok even if it was lacking in atmosphere and they were rushing us bringing out mains when we hadn't even finished our poppadoms. Think they were looking to close early as it was dead."

"Exceptional. 5 stars for food, service and atmosphere. Went with a child under 8; apple juices, fries and a delicious mild curry were served with equal care and style. Highly recommend the Momo vegan dumplings and the Manchurian starters. £4.50 for 3 Manchurian balls, good standard price for an outstanding starter!"
