"First of all, you have to book. We were lucky to be early birds, but all the people who came after us and who didn’t have a reservation were sent away. What else is there to say? It is a Japanese Yakitori. For those who...don’t know, a Yakitori is a Japanese version of Tapas bar, although slightly more upscale. Fundamentally, salarymen go to a Yakitori to drink after work and they get some food on the side to help them keep on drinking. Of course, we are in France, and Akastuki has elevated the concept to something more international. The place is very neatly decorated, very clean, the staff is discreet, smiling and helpful in any language you want, and always with an accent. Probably the best describing word is “intimate”. On the menu, you will find Bento boxes, Donburi plates, Fried noodles and Sashimi/Sushi. In the evening, they also propose more side dishes. They also have a list of more than different Sake’s, which confirms we are in a Yakitori. The sashimi was fresh, the rice perhaps slightly overcooked, but I’m picky. All in all, a very nice experience at a very decent price. Definitely the most authentic Japanese experience in town, and at a very reasonable price"

"A very good Izakaya, with a very beautiful map of nihonshu, choshu, umeshu and others. The boss knows very well in sake, he will advise you if necessary! The karaage was delicious and it was very appreciable to find hot edamames! I recommend!"
