"A friend of mine suggested going here and by the end of the night, I was so glad we chose KK.<br/>The food is delicious, affordable and portions are generous! Friendly staff who didn't ask us to leave, even though we sat there for quite a while after we were finished eating.<br/>We ordered the Deep Fried Tofu, Roti Chanai and Char Kuey Teow (a total of $30) and shared it amongst the three of us. We were too full to order some more but definitely going back soon!"

"Food and coffee is great and the cinnamon buns are my favourite. Downfall is that I find the staff aren’t the friendliest or well mannered, the guy that’s normally at the front counter doesn’t usually ever bother to say a word to me when I go up to order. I also find that the service is quite slow especially waiting for just a takeaway coffee."

"Enjoyed a nice dinner in the restaurant with 6 kids. Good menu range (including the kids menu). Gluten free options were awesome. The wait staff were extremely patient and friendly with the kids. Highly recommend a visit"

"Came here for a quick lunch and got the rice salad from the cabinet. For $9.50 I thought it would be the size of a small from the supermarket. I was very surprised when they bought a huge bowl of salad to the table. They also gave you the option of having it heated. Nice service for a very busy cafe."

"Great place for excellent craft beers made in-house as well as many made by other brewers. We enjoyed two of their hazy IPAs along with yummy fish and chips and an order of cheese garlic toast. Bartenders are friendly and quick, and while the food took a few minutes, it was worth it."

"An excellent bar and bistro located in central Johnsonville. The 1841 provides a wide selection of beers, wine, spirits and ciders. The food menu is much better than most Wellington pub meals. The front line 1841 staff provide a helpful and friendly ambiance."

"Beautiful location at Wellington waterfront. White bait fritter was nice, small size over $20 and the big size for $48.00. The place was busy but the service was not that organized. My friend had to ask twice for her salad and she finally received it after all our meal so she ate the salad by itself. The salad was like drowning in a salad dressing and was not a good presentation. The place was busy and apart from this, I love the atmosphere and the view over to the ocean. I want to go again to have more white baits. My friend had the Pork belly and she thoroughly enjoyed it."

"We had a great time here, went on a Sunday night so it was relatively quite. Service was good and we weren't waiting long to receive our meals. We could barely finish the desert as we were so full. My only complaint is we had trouble contacting them over the phone and had to book online. Not a big deal in the end..."

"A cute cafe tucked to the side of a garden center. There was an outside garden seating area where people were having their mid-morning coffees. The staff were cheerful and friendly. We ordered the beef burger and the BLT. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the burger and how juicy the patty was. My wife 's BLT came in a 'deconstructed ' form (or maybe it was supposed to be an open sandwich . Herbs in the focaccia bread they used for the BLT was quite overpowering for me. They had Rocket Fuel sauce which was a bonus for us :"

"My daughter and I had an excellent meal. Oysters were fresh and juicy. The bruschetta with goats cheese was different but tasty. The star of the evening though was the Lamb shoulder, tender and juicy. Would have given them 5 stars if I had got my pre dinner drinks on time (they arrived after my mains had been served). The manager did offer us a hefty discount to make up for it. But I’d have really enjoyed a nice glass of NZ wine with my meal."
